The hotel itself was tidy and conveniently situated in the city. However, there was a persistent issue with homeless individuals approaching guests near the entrance. Despite being a silver member, I wasn't provided with complimentary water bottles and had to inquire about purchasing them, leading to a 15-minute wait for the manager to address the matter. The breakfast experience fell short of expectations, which was a significant factor in choosing this hotel. Despite advertised service until 10:30 am, food availability was inconsistent, with no replenishment of items like eggs and bacon once depleted. Additionally, breakfast service ended abruptly when food ran low, with guests being turned away before the scheduled closing time.

Our check in was unwelcoming. The elevators had food all over the floors that never was cleaned. The hall carpets were dirty & walls had huge hunks taken out of them. There was pink slime on the shower walls. We've stayed at many Embassy Suites & this hotel had the worst manager's reception (small drink selection & bags of cheddar chex mix) & morning breakfast. At 8:30, the juice machine didn't work, food was not out/all over the floor, noone was attempting to put anything out so we left & ate on the road. It was conveniently located to many shops & restaurants. The bed was very comfortable. For the price that we paid for the night, it's a shame that they don't do more to live up to the Embassy Suites standards.

House keeping did not come to our room, the person was cleaning the room next to ours when we left to go shopping and we took the do not disturb down. The hotel needed to be restored.

The property was great and service was excellent. However, there is a fire station nearby and if you get a room with the street view, the siren noise is very noticeable. Also, the parking garage is managed by another company and if you have issues with the gate or ticket, the hotel staff gives you a number to call. Overall, it's a great place to stay.

The room we had appeared to be not quite thoroughly clean. Dirty blankets, dirt and hair in corners of bathrooms, rusted tub, peeling and patched up ceilings, lady bugs etc. Sunday morning breakfast Dec 3rd@ 8am. The omelette grille operator (green shirt) was very unpleasant, rude with an attitude, not greeting customers etc. Leaving my spouse furious with him upon his interaction with him as being a guest at the hotel while trying to place his breakfast order. As a Hilton honors guest. I was disappointed with the customer service more than anything. Embassy Suites has always been our family’s top choice to stay when traveling due to customer service, comfort, cleanliness and guest breakfast. However, this was probably the worst experience we received from an Embassy Suites stay at your Downtown Winston- Salem, NC Location.

Hated the interior room I asked to get moved at least 5 times. Couldnt sleep for 4 nights because of the light and the elevator noise all night. Horrible experience.

This hotel is a dump.
This hotel is a DUMP. We were in town for HPMKT so prices were sky high. The lobby is bright and remodeled, your basic regular tidy business hotel, so we thought…things quickly unraveled when we stepped into the room which smelled like it used to be a smoking suite. We had a two bedroom suite, one king bed and two queens. The shower in the king room was disgusting, mold all over. There’s no fan in the bathroom so the hinges have begun to rust. We made the mistake of pulling back the curtains and the amount of dirt, debris and cobwebs in the window was shocking. Like it had never been cleaned. The upholstery on the sofa was torn and the carpet had huge stains. The hotel is located near the police station, so it’s very loud ALL THE TIME. The only bright spot on this shanty of hotel was the complimentary breakfast. The food was a great start to the day and the staff was lovely and kind. There’s a Marriott right across the street and I wish we’d stayed there.

Front desk evening team rude and lazy. Called down several times around 8:30pm. Phone rang about 30 times each call, only to be answered by rude front desk people. I requested towels, waited 45 mins only to call back out on hold and then be told I have to come down and get them myself in an unapologetic tone. Filed a complaint but nothing was done to accommodate my terrible experience with that team. Rooms also smelled musty and are in need of an update. The bar staff and breakfast teams were great. Positive attitudes and very friendly and accommodating. In particular the bartender and the guy who makes the omelette. It’s terrible that the front desk team (evening crew) dampened my experience in addition to the room quality.

Hot tub was broken the pool was freezing the desk clerk and bartender were absolutely not friendly acted as if we were a burden rather than even crack a half smile..breakfast staff were great..no room service menus terrible selection of bar drinks ... having to pay 20$ a day to park in a shared garage is ridiculous!

This was a horrible experience due to how we were treated by staff. We were falsely accused of smoking in the room. The staff was rude when we told them this was impossible as I have an infant. We were locked out of room because the room was checked out a day earlier than we when were checking out. Several times different staff members and other guests had keys and tried to get in our room with out any forwarning. Dania the front desk manager called my elderly mother a liar and was completely rude and not helpful when I told her my room key didn’t work. Dania and the treatment by her staff mocking us reunited our stay and my husband and I were celebrating our 20 year anniversary and it was ruined.

The staff is so friendly and very helpful. Everyone says hello and greets you with a smile. Breakfast is delicious and has lots of options. The room was very roomy and comfortable. Great price for everything.
