Great 2 night stay. The room appeared newly refaced with rustic furnishings and wood panel walls to maintain its old world rustic feel. Mattresses were new and comfortable, bed and bath linens were soft and clean. New lamps with USB chargers in bases. Room was quiet and temperate. Owner was welcoming and accommodating. Owner took an interest in us and also showed my son how to feed the wood burning stove. Breakfast spread was fairly minimal. Individually packaged yogurt, cereals and crumb cakes with a pot of coffee and hot water for tea. As someone who loves breakfast, I was desiring more options, but it did the job. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

I was greeted by name when I entered the 100 year old building to check in. The proprietor is an elderly gentleman with a wry, wicked sense of humor and he made me and my family feel very welcome. The motel room was exceptionally clean and the towels were very soft and fluffy. This is not a modern place, so, if that is what you are looking for, this is not it. If you are looking for a rustic 50’s style motel room with hot water, warm blankets and a comfy bed with forest/Mountain View’s all around, you have found your home. Breakfast is in the breakfast room in a serve-yourself manner, with coffee, tea, cereal, yogurt, and individually packaged variety coffee cakes/pastries. There are board games and things to read while you eat!😀 I would definitely recommend this place and the charming host!

A step back in time would perfectly describe this quaint motel. It was clean and quiet and the price was right for our stay. Close to hiking which was what we were looking for. Beautiful area.

A blast from the past with up to date services.
Great little motel that reminds me of places I stayed back int 60s on family vacation trips. Homey atmosphere, with comfy vibe yet up to date services (cable tv and free wifi).Jean and Art are wonderful hosts; I will definitely be back!!!

Great place to stay.
It was as advertised and very clean and highly recommend here. The motel owner was very attentive and informative for me and he saved my days (I passed ski exam). It is easy to go ski areas, not only Windham, but also to Hunter.

Charming little motel
Such a charming little motel. It was very cozy and had a homey feeling. Pillows very comfortable and loved the furnishings. Very country feel. Would definitely stay here again.

From the minute we walked in the door, we felt like we went back in time! The place felt like it was right out of a set from Mayberry RFD! The husband and wife duo were both super friendly and helpful. Towels were worn thin and the room and towels, etc had a smell of dryer sheets or fragrance. If you have a sensitivity to scents, you may want to find another place or bring your own towels. Having the fridge in the room was a big plus and the value for what we had was fine. Its not luxurious but we liked the location and were only there to sleep! Shower stall was tiny but good water pressure. Just dont drop the soap! Overall, the motel and price did the trick for us. We especially loved having 2 chairs to sit outside our unit with a fabulous view of the tall mountains! If you are down to earth and practical, this is the place for you!

Cute motel, quiet and clean. Fine for one night but the room was dark and very dated. Needs some serious remodeling. Breakfast was really poor: a few cereals boxes and some processed pastries. No fruit juice, yogurts or fresh fruits :( The view was really nice though.

This motel is comfortable and has a nice country feel. I especially liked the bench and chairs on the edge of the hill below and the mountain across the valley. I was there during a wonderful fire fly show. Great place to stay while exploring the area.

This was my second time staying at this property. I have booked privately and through Expedia. Each time I book this location the price is increases $10./night and no one takes responsibility nor is able to explain the price increase. This is a reasonably priced hotel that meets my needs.

Just ok.
The people who own the place are nice, the rooms are dated, but decently clean. New mattress, no sign of bugs. HOWEVER: the owners smoke a TON of cigarettes inside. Normally, i wouldnt mention it, because the rooms are separate from the house, but the kitchen they served breakfast (weak coffee and single serve cereals) in smelled like cigarettes. The coffee tasted like an ash tray. The TOWELS in our room must have been sitting on top of the dryer in the main house for a day or two, because ..... they smelled like cigarettes. Strongly. I literally went to the dollar store and got some because ours smelled so bad we couldn't use them. Our first day, we got in a little late but decided to open up the windows and air the room out for several hours, as the smell was unbearable at first. If you love the smell of cigarettes, this is the place for you. Otherwise, there are a number of small, smoke free places around the area.

Sorry for what ever reason you felt led to disparage us. We know you never stayed with us, based on the number of lies you told and we don't smoke and all our rooms are non smoking.

Good value in a throwback motel. WiFi was good, although it strong enough to downloadnewspaper. USB outlet in lamp. Good cable tv. Continental Breakfast basic but good.

nice small motel a couple miles west of Windham Mountain. Immaculate rooms, wifi works, oldschool family-run motel. Put on a cozy breakfast bar in the morning (pastries, cereal, coffee). Nice people.
