Pretty, comfy, convenient!
Cheryl and Don offer a classic B&B experience you don’t see much anymore — a comfortable suite, awesome amenities (robes!), and thoughtful little touches, like small snacks, muffins and hard-boiled eggs. It’s private, peaceful, and super convenient, with shopping and restaurants about two blocks away and Longwood Gardens a short 15-minute drive. A perfect weekend escape!

Beautiful vrbo
This is our second time staying at this beautiful house. It exceptionally clean, and close to everything. We loved the comfortable bed, and the treats the innkeeper made. It is close to Longwood Gardens and Pennswood winery. Our favorite two places to visit. We highly recommend this vrbo.

This is clearly an in-law suite or could have been if it was not originally. The hosts provided exceptional hospitality, with attention to detail like no other- a personal note, small snacks I didn't think Ii needed or wanted but I was so grateful for them in the middle o the nigh when my stomach grumbled. The room has total privacy and is incredibly clean, with no weird smells you sometimes encounter in rentals. The mattress and pillows were a little soft for me, otherwise I might have asked to move in it was so nice, I felt like a queen for the night. There is not a thing they could have don to make this a better stay! Wonderful hosts and property.

Hidden jewel in Delaware
Absolutely loved the place! We were greeted with a handwritten welcome card, fresh baked goods and a spotless place. Great location and easy access to area attractions and restaurants. Owners left so many small things that made our stay comfortable. We will definitely go back.

Lovely stay at this property. Great communication and clear check in/check out procedures. Lots of little extras and well appointed-tray for wet/dirty shoes, umbrella, robes, shower toiletries, snacks, desk, fluffy towels, etc. great location-less than 20 minutes to pretty much every Brandywine area delight. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Gorgeous Property & Excellent Host
My wife and I stayed in this gorgeous property for our 25th anniversary as we went to visit the nearby Nemours Estate. This place was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and the views are truly beautiful. This host has the gift of hospitality! Their attention to detail can be seen throughout the space. When we arrived, there was a lovely hand written card and some delicious muffins waiting for us. I would definitely stay here again.

This stay should have been a better experience: The owner charges travelers more than nearby hotels. We were willing to pay because of the descriptions and photos in Expedia/VRBO were enticing. However, descriptions and photos of what other space is available to us don't match the reality (the owner exaggerated too much in luring travelers-- close to false advertising). Anyone booking this place need to lower the expectations. What we liked: 1. layout of the room we got was very good-- functional. 2. It's close to Trader Joe's 3. It's in a nice neighborhood 4. The mini muffins were tasty 5. The tea bag selection is plenty What we really hated: 1. The pavers to the room we got are hopping stones-- not suitcase friendly at all. You have to carry the suitcase. It's dangerous for anyone with heavy luggage. 2. The space accessible to us was much more limited and photos of the property landscape don't match the reality at all. 3. The hard boiled eggs the owner provided had already gone bad. 4. The bathroom slippers tend to put you out of balance-- dangerous.

This is a suite in the side of the owners’ home. The bedroom is large and nicely furnished. The adjoining bathroom and shower were perfect for us. The sitting room had two comfy armchairs, desk and tv in an entertainment center. Didn’t miss a kitchen at all. Best Keurig machine ever, microwave, and small refrigerator. Salt and pepper, paper plates and silverware, cream in the refrigerator for coffee or tea. The best was finding the Martin’s card welcoming us, muffins and cookies and hard boiled eggs for our breakfast. So many great attractions nearby!

Away from Home
The VRBO was perfect for the size of our family. We were coming up for a Graduation and Cheryl and Don were very accommodating. When we needed extra trash bags we were given them. They made our stay comfortable as possible. The only down side I would like to mention is that the tile in the bathroom can be very slippery especially with socks on. Be careful! We didnt get hurt but it took us off guard. But other than that our stay was immaculate! Lots of resturants and things to do within the area. Perfect for a small family or even a couple. We would definitely stay here again if we ever visit again.

Very Comfortable Stay
I was looking for a place to stay out of city, but close to the few places I needed to be. I found Cheryl and Don's place, and it was exactly what I needed. Located near my favorite stores, on/off the highway, and central to both the wedding venue and reception. Their suite was perfect and the bed was super comfy. I did not spend a lot of time at the suite, but their property looked beautiful, and I felt like I was in a safe, secure location. They also included coffee and breakfast items, which was so sweet and a complete surprise. Thank you so much for hosting!

Lovely space
As in all previous reviews , the apartment is not only meticulous but beautifully designed. It was the perfect location for our side trips to New Castle and Brandywine Art Museum as well as Penns Wood Winery for relaxing at the end of the day. Our only heads up is if you are planning to have meals take note there is only a microwave and small fridge and use of table trays. I know most people dine out at night so it would not be an issue. We tend to eat lunch out and have light dinner. We easily adapted by grabbing something from nearby to bring back. Oh and cookies and blueberry coffee cake were waiting for us upon arrival. If you want to enjoy a glass of wine outside, go to the patio outback and it felt like sitting in a peaceful winery. Excellent communication and flexibility with working with our change of dates.

Perfectly appointed!
My husband and I stayed for two nights in order to explore Longwood Gardens. We found the hosts responsive, the neighborhood beautiful, the location convenient, and the apartment cozy, clean and ample. The weather was great and we even spent an hour on the owner’s lovely patio, under the shade of the pergola. All this for a very reasonable price! Pleasant surprise on our trip was a nice restaurant in Wilmington with wholly unique small plates. We hope to visit Longwood Garden in every month of the year, and will organize our trips around staying here….!

You clearly know how to make a place cozy and what travelers need or might need. I appreciate the comments you made about various restaurant and places to go. It's so helpful to have that house manual with so many resources. It really is a convenient place to stay for exploring the Brandywine valley and an easy drive to Kennett Square, Chadds Ford or Philly. I can understand why people return. A very pleasant stay
This was the perfect getaway for a reunion with a friend for a wedding we had to attend in the area. Cheryl and Don left us muffins and eggs for our first morning's stay which was unexpected and a nice touch. The place was super clean and located next to a lot of shopping and some trials for getting a workout in. Definitely recommend if you're staying in the area!

Cheryl and Don have a lovely home ,and the private suite that they offer is so special. CLEAN, comfortable, thoughtfully stocked ( books, games, glasses, kitchen items, brochures about local places and activities). And, the really nice personal touch of leaving a treat for your arrival. My happy place
I have stayed there a number of times before and I have never been disappointed. The place has everything anyone could want or need. It is always sparkling clean and in mint condition. Add to this a comfortable bed and a quiet neighborhood conveniently located near restaurants and this place can not be beat. Host and hostess are wonderful caring people who are there should the need arrise.
