Hôtel très vieillissant , la moquette est sale . On sent que les équipements sont fatiguer , micro onde un peu defrechis …. Et le comble de l’horreur un cafard nous a rendue visite … donc on avait hâte de partir .

One of the worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel. When we arrived, late in the evening, after a long drive, I was looking forward to being in bed but quickly realized that my bed, the bed topper, the pillows, the comporter, all smelled like vomit. Horrible! I asked to change room but was denied because they were booked. I was offered new bedsheets but what good can it do when the whole bed is embedded with that smell (the bedsheets were clean, thank goodness, but did not stop the putrid smell to go through!). When we first arrived, the room smelled really strong air freshener. Now I know why. Hence, they knew but did not take the proper measures to solve this problem. They didn’t seem to care, probably happens a lot. The floor was soooo dirty that if you took three steps with white socks, they became brown socks! This place is a dump! Avoid at all cost!

I am sorry to hear about the cleanliness issues you described in your room. It is true that we do not have the luxury of shuffling guests around during our busy summer weekends. Our front desk agent did what she could by offering new linens and I regret to see that was insufficient. We appreciate the feedback nonetheless and will use it to help us do a better job moving forward.

Better than expected for the price.All the staff were great, fast easy check in..very knowledgeable about the area. Stayed 3 days but no housekeeping but I think that's pretty much every where now & we didn't really need it. Had plenty of towels for just my husband & I and we didn't spend a lot of time in the room anyway. I'm sure if we would've requested it they would've been more than happy to do it. Great location being in between the river & the beach and a lot less expensive than the hotels in both areas but only about 20min from either. Pool was open but a little cloudy, still a little chilly to be in the water for me. Breakfast was waffles & other continental items..coffee was great though! Everything was very clean from the inside to the outside areas..nice simple landscaping with a grill & picnic table on the side. Plenty of shopping across the street & just down the road plus 20min from the Riverwalk & the USS North Carolina..make sure you wear comfortable shoes for both of these lol. Would definitely stay here again!

I do NOT recommend Sleep Inn or affiliated hotel MainStay across the parking lot. If you are someone like myself who has any autoimmune disease/ asthma you will suffer the consequences of these properties, allowing guests and employees to smoke inside the hotel rooms and there designated smoking area is the front entranceway. The vibe overall is very negative. I am disabled and struggled with my luggage. Neither place ever offered a helping hand. I also advise if you go DON’T smile or be happy because they’ll ask you to leave. A manager actually said to me earlier today “Go spread your love somewhere else”. Even though it was morally wrong, and threatened to call the police, I did not respond in anger. Instead I stayed calm and polite. I responded with OK I’ll leave, I understand. There is a lot of tension even between employees. When I made both places aware the room next to me was smoking pot, I was told I had to prove it. It’s posted everywhere if you smoke you will pay a $250 fee, yet they allow it. I’m connecting the dots. Since they allow it because if they didn’t, they would hardly get any business and therefore housekeeping don’t really clean. It’s pretty sad you pay to stay somewhere and one of the days you stay you spend cleaning. I have never been anywhere where you have to “beg” for replacement towels when you put the used ones outside your door. Employees argue n complain guests are stealing. How they have to bring tp to work n so on.

Pros: they have given some good amount of thought on what their most probable customers need and made arrangements. You have ice dispenser, soda vending machines, ice container at room, glasses at room, small fridge at room. Basically things you need to make a drink. They also have coffee machine, coffee is not bad. And breakfast. Parking is good. Cons: Cleanliness. Carpet is of dark brown colour and smells of old socks. Not sure if they shampoo wash it even once a year. Infra: no handwash inside washroom, you have one in the room itself. However tap on that was placed too far back and it was very inconvenient to wash hands. No handles on the bathroom doors. Service and staff: i found my initial room smelly so they changed it, that part was good. However, around 9 the Air conditioner stopped working. I called front desk and they said they can help only in the morning. It was suffocating my kids and they refused to provide any sort of help. They said controls on the AC don't work, but you can control it via thermostat. It was other way around. After spending some time I was able to start the AC using controls on AC. Otherwise I would have to find another hotel at late night

To much noise throughout the place. Drug smells were coming from dooms on our floor. Told check in person and his response was there’s nothing we can do. I will never stay at a sleep in again.

Nice rooms and very clean. Bathroom is laid out weird and door didn’t want to lock. Air conditioner wasn’t really cooling very well. Would stay here again though.

My greatest thing stay at this hotel was that we were able to walk not places and use our car only when needed or wanted. The breakfast last was exceptional because of here we would definitely stay again.

The property needs renovations. The hairs dryer wire was reconnected by hand and that's a safety issue for any traveler. The toilet did not work so I was give another room. Constant noise from the fridge all night long kept me awake. The breakfast has no meat... terrible. Unfortunately I will have to find a newer hotel to stay in unless this is renovated immediately.

Good for one night but would not stay here for more than that. There was cigarette smell in the hallway and the room had a weird smell too. One of the beds had stains on the sheets and the shower was a bit dirty. The staff was nice and main area seemed clean and nice.

The chair was broken when we entered; only one partial toilet paper roll was in the bathroom; light bulb over the desk was broken; it appeared that a good check on the room had not been done. Upon returning to the room Saturday, odor of smoke was all through the hallway. The room was basically clean; beds were nice, plenty of pillows on the bed; shower was good, and nice to have a step-in. Staff at front desk were not all that friendly; the manager who brought a new chair was very friendly. Breakfast was poor; bagels hard and very little selection. Not up to par with a Sleep Inn establishment!

Hotel is very busy with workers coming and going, and old and run down, AC did not work. Don’t even bother going to breakfast, nothing there. Only reason this hotel didn’t rate lower is the friendly staff, and the good (strong) shower water pressure. We would not stay here again.

There was a minor issue in the bathroom with the tissue roll. It was broke and would fall to the floor along with the tissue when used. I finally sat the tissue on the back of the toilet.

This property should be rated as a 10 star Hotel. This is a home away from home. Staff treat guest like family. The property management is awesome. MS. Andrea Carter (Director of sales and marketing) is a awesome lady, who really go up and beyond to make sure that every single guest is treated like a family member. The rooms are clean, hall ways are clean, sheets, towels pillow cases look like they just arrived from the factory, No roaches, No bed bugs, excellent lighting. Internet awesome. Parking is safe. Dont have to worry at all at this place. Breakfast is like eating at IHOP. Many items to chose from. Front dest staff and house keeping is awesome. They really took care of us. I highly recommend if you are traveling through the Wilmington NC area, please stop by for a good rest at the Sleep inn located at 5229 Market Street, Wilmington NC.28405. You wont be disappointed. To all the staff at the sleep in. Thank you guys for everything. We will differentiately be returning. God bless you all.

Breakfast issue
Everything was fine, except a breakfast issue. There were several guests and i at breakfast, maybe a minute or 2 before 6am. I heard a commotion - the breakfast lady was yelling at a man. It was 5:59am. I ignored it, and i went for some orange juice, now the breakdast lady yelled at me!!! She actually yelled, pointed a finger and scowled. She also rolled her eyes! It was now 6am. I know a few of us complained to the front desk, and i suggested, maybe keep the lights off in the breakfast room, until its ready at 6am. The next day, hot breakfast was not ready until almost 9am. Very disappointed and I will contact corporate. I needed a hot 6am breakfast, as i was attending a 7am event. No hot breakfast until i returned at 9am. Everything else was fine. Dont let this discourage you, im sure its fixed by now. But just in case it was swept under the rug by the front desk, it is documented here. Pic is of the cup that the front desk staff supplied us, clearly not the ones to match the lids. I am impressed that they did their best as hingry gursts were angry. Especially the ones that were yelled at the day before!

No major complaints
Basic hotel, all amenities, except a bathtub. Shower only. Decent breakfast. Close to the beach. Friendly staff.

The worst experience of my life. I have never seen a so dirt hotel and the lady at the lobby in the evening was just terrible. Enrolled in a blancket, sitted on her sit she did not move in order to facilitate the check in process. The carpet in the room did not met a vaccum for a very long time. Don't stay there
