We had the most perfect weekend here. It was exactly what we needed-very secluded and quiet and everything was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing some time away from regular life:) I canā€™t say enough good things!

My sister and I were looking for a secluded getaway to relax and based on all the pictures and reviews thats why we chose this place.There were even comments on our check in instructions that led us to believe that weā€™d be the only ones on the property besides the owners but that was not the case.Never was it mentioned or pictured that there was a hunting cabin within a hundred yards of this house or that it might be used during our stay. Knowing two men were there altered our behaviors because of our lack of comfort level/privacy.We specifically waited until dark to go to the hot tub, however they soon drove up in the side by side and were hanging out outside with the porch lights on. The loft beds in our house did not have curtains and is within straight view of the cabin. Since they were still outside at bedtime, we felt the need to keep everything dark to avoid them seeing us changing and getting into bed and they stayed outside, with two bright porch lights shining directly into the loft, until 3am.As soon as we saw them when we returned from town, we texted the host to ask if she knew the guys and she responded that yes she knew them from college and assured us they were good guys. While Iā€™m sure they are perfectly good guys, they are still strangers to us and still made us uncomfortable for them to be so close. It should have been disclosed to us at booking and had they not been there it would have been 5 stars all across the board.

Amazing spot. Super secluded. Great House. Had a problem getting the hot tub to heat. Sent the property manager a message and never got a response. So we never got the hot tub to heat properly. Other than that we would gladly stay here again. We really loved it.

We chose this place after reading the reviews and buying into the the picture Ashley painted of this place. There are too many other options in this area to risk it, in my opinion and here is why: Unfortunately for us, we drove into a construction site; which included bulldozers, 18 wheelers and a huge dust cloud. According to Ashley, she cannot stop mother nature which pushed back this project they were working on by 5 days. I totally agree...except for, she could have communicated those details to us and given us a chance to move our trip. For the first day, we hid inside from the dust cloud and construction noises only to be told by Ashley's father that the crew would be back before 7:00AM on the Monday that Ashley allowed us to extend to without telling us about this project. Her father asked the crew to not come back on Saturday/Sunday after we asked him if that was an option. This "project" was only 30 or so feet away from the front door of the cabin. The cabin is cute but it wasn't clean. There was mouse dropping all over the clean towels, the counters, on top of the fridge, coffee grinds still in the pot, so much animal scat on the back steps that we could not use the back door and the garbage disposal wasn't working but my boyfriend took the time to fix that. I tried to have a conversation with Ashley but she only responded to tell me that she could not control mother nature and wanted to know what wasn't clean and then she went MIA on me. Pick a different place!

I am very happy to have found this Vrbo cabin. The owner Ashley was very clear and helpful with her messages and the day of check-in everything went perfect. This place is quiet, in a secluded farm, in the middle of nowhere. It was what I needed to get back to writing and end my writerā€™s block. The cabin is equipped with everything that you need. Bathrooms in both floors. The kitchen is clean. The living spaces are decorated with very quaint cabin aesthetics. I was pleasantly surprised that the big bed was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed the outdoors hot tub that helped me relax by the end of the night. Iā€™m very grateful for the host and I will surely recommend to someone who is looking for a nice little retreat outside of the city and disconnect from digital life.

This property is amazing. Just know that it is way, way secluded. Like 15 minutes from a highway that is 20 minutes from a town. To us, that was a plus. The cabin is awesome. It sits at the bottom of a Texas mountain (okay, probably a hill, but in Texas, that is a mountain). It has a fire pit and a hot tub outside. Inside, was super clean. From other reviews, my wife was a little worried about scorpions, but we did not see any - to her delight. The place was clean. The beds were decent - two kings and a twin. You probably want to bring your own pillow which we did, but the ones there were pretty flat. The water pressure is not great, but when you are on a well that is pretty common. The washing machine did not work or maybe it is set up not to work with guests. We were just going to wash our sheets and towels on our way out. We did run into the owner of the property when we got there and he reminded us of Tim McGraw (maybe it was him). Super nice and friendly. Part of me wants to tell you not to stay here so it will be available to us next time, but we give it a 10/10. We are definitely coming back, often!
