This is an exquisite property which the prices reflect! Our view overlooked the awning over the front door which is in serious need of maintenance and cleaning, surprising considering the attention to detail everywhere else.

Thank you, Adrian and all the staff!!! My father is fighting parkinson's and the staff was very helpful. The restaurant staff pureed his food. A beautiful, hostorical inn. Very comfortable and so many surprises. Fresh rose and other flowers, bailey's night cap and chocolates. Such elegance and comfort! Thank you!

Every staff member we encountered smiled, spoke to us. and asked if there was something they help us with. The amenities were incredible, from the fires and fresh flowers in the lobby to the turn down service with amaretto and Ethel M chocolates. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious. You are just a few steps from Duke of Gloucester street. Top notch all the way. We will definitely be back.

terrible trying to sleep. very loud noise perhaps from the hotels water pipes??? Furthermore my assigned room was between a public bathroom and an active meeting room. After spending over $1500 for a two night stay, I would have expected a quite night sleep... I shall not return.

Lots of atmosphere but lacking warm hospitality
The Inn is a lovely place and we enjoyed the grounds and our room. What was sad is that we did not experience amazing hospitality. The only person who was particularly kind, was Josiah at the front desk. Everyone else treated us like we were unimportant and spoke to us in a rude short manner.

We took our 16yr old on a quick getaway and absolutely loved our stay. The Williamsburg Inn is one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Very friendly staff. And walking around colonial Williamsburg is always a treat!

I would probably give the hotel a 5 star. Two minor complaints. First, the 3 people checking us in complained about some people were arriving too early - before the check-in time. Travelers can’t always know their travel time of arrival. I made reservations months ago. I got there at two and they made me wait until after 4. We were also text on our phone about needing to again confirm that we’re still coming. How rude! You had our deposit to keep if we didn’t show. You even did it for our restaurant reservations. Also, turn-down service means very little to us - but please don’t insult our intelligence by leaving a note saying”Out of respect for your health and safety we have temporarily suspended the service.” A maid comes in the room once can certainly come in a second time. The worst thing was your nice restaurant was closed both nights we were there. The other one I’d have to give a C rating on value, quality, and service. They were actually stacking dirty dishes behind where my wife was sitting. It was so mediocre that we cancelled dinner reservations the second night. Why 5 stars on the hotel - the wonderful room and the fresh flowers.

Our family of four, including a ten and seven year old had a great stay at this grand old hotel. It is perfectly located for walking visits to Colonial Williamsburg.

We loved our visit this past weekend. Beautiful, comfortable room and excellent staff. Only downside was getting something to eat at times other than breakfast and dinner without having to leave the property. I know its staffing problems which is everywhere but at least have a snack bar or something opened. Other than that we had a wonderful time and will be back.

My wife and I had a delightful stay at the Williamsburg Inn on a cold Feb weekend. We loved the wood fires in the lobby, an excellent dinner at the Tavern, easy check-in, great walkability and a large quiet room. Everything was 5 stars.

People are not friendly. I was asking about restaurant time, she said you can read the brochure. The hotel seemed to be old and worn out. The toilet in our room was leaking big time, how could they not to check first? Not happy with our staying .
