DETAILS: Sleeping up to 8 guests, Hellroaring Hut is a gorgeous, pet-friendly log cabin with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms nestled amidst the forest and mountains. Just 15 minutes away from historic downtown restaurants and breweries and a scenic 20-minute drive from world-class skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort, this home-away-from-home is sure to please. Guests will enjoy the spacious outdoor deck with a private hot tub, cozy fireplace in the living area, and comfy accommodations spread out among the 3,000 square feet of living space.

Discover warmth and charm in this stunning 3-story cabin, surrounded by Montana’s natural beauty. Immense natural light streams through large picture windows that frame the expansive forest and mountain views. An open floor plan blends the living, dining, and kitchen areas for seamless communication between the spaces. The inviting living area welcomes friends and family with a wood-burning stove and relaxed leather furniture—providing a wonderful entertainment space. The spacious kitchen is a culinary dream, boasting stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and all the essentials needed to create a delicious meal. The adjacent dining table seats 6 on a mix of chair and bench seating, with room for 2 more at the breakfast bar. The main level features a serene primary bedroom with a comfortable king bed and a private bathroom. Outside, experience stunning views from the deck of this exquisite home before dining alfresco, and cozy up around the firepit or unwind in the luxurious 6-person hot tub after a day on the slopes or hiking the local trails.

The upper floor boasts a second primary bedroom with a luxury queen bed, a private bathroom, and stunning forest views. Outside of this bedroom is a small loft with a cozy sitting area and desk. Venture downstairs to discover the remaining 2 bedrooms—a guest bedroom with 2 queen beds and a guest room with 1 twin bed. This floor also features a sizeable TV area with a sofa, mini-fridge, and bar stool area. For added convenience, the bathroom has a full-sized washer and dryer. Enjoy the ultimate in comfort and convenience at Painted Hills Chateau. On-site parking makes it easy to explore the local area, including City Beach (15 mins.) and Glacier National Park (1 hour). Getting around Whitefish is free and easy via the S.N.O.W. Bus—a free shuttle service that takes visitors throughout Whitefish and up to Big Mountain during peak ski and Summer seasons. We are happy to welcome up to 2 dogs for an additional non-refundable pet fee of $200 per dog, plus a $100 cleaning fee, plus applicable taxes. Pets must be well-trained and crated at all times when the owner isn’t present. You must notify the host if you are bringing a pet so that the proper fees can be collected.

Glacier Park International Airport is only about 20 minutes from Whitefish, Montana so getting here is easy!

We so enjoyed this property and the quiet surrounding woods. Each floor was spacious and comfortable with bathrooms for each couple. The kitchen is well appointed, and I can see spending the holidays here. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

We had a wonderful Christmas vacation. Not a lot of snow but we were still able to ski, dog sled, visit with friends and renew our vows in Glacier! (20 years) The chateau was wonderful especially the super comfy beds, heated floors and hot tub. Our little JackJack also enjoyed his stay thank you for allowing dogs in your home. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Lovely property, we had a great time. Our goal was a family getaway from distractions, and this was a great place for the purpose. We did a lot of cooking, kitchen wonderfully set up for that. Good quality cookware greatly appreciated! Wonderful neighborhood for walks, very cozy living area for just hanging out.

We loved the cabin just wished it could of been cleaner. Under the 2 couches, the coffee table, end tables, beds and night stands were very dusty and dirty with pet hair, food that apparently wasn't ours because we didnt have the food that was found. Also, we were disappointed with the trash bends. We went to put out our 1st bag of trash and oth of the trash bins were half full. Emailed the manager and he was very ice and told me he would send someone out to get the trash. There was a lady that stopped to puck ip trash but she only cleaned out one bin. We were a family of 11 with 6 adults and 5 children and we went through a lot of trash. Both trash bins were full and when we left on Saturday we had to leave 2 bags of trash inside the door. I texted the manager to let him know that we had left 2 bags of trash because they wouldn't fit in the trash bin. We also had isdues with the dryer. It worked on Tuesday with that being said, it took 4 hours to dry a medium load of laundry. On Wednesday we did a load of towels and couldnt get them dry. Texted the manager the next day to make him aware

This house was the perfect space for my family. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was so well stocked with all the tools and appliances needed to create delicious food to celebrate with my extended family. The space was so cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was a treat after skiing.

Location was perfect for our Glacier NP trip. Enjoyed the proximity to the airport as well as GNP and close to Whitefish. Very spacious with well stocked kitchen. Enjoyed the outdoor space and games that were available.

Property has lots of stairs and all of them have handrails only on one side. The main stairs from the basement's lower section has no hand rails. No central air so it was very hot on the main floor while we were there. A virtual tour is highly recommended and more descriptive text about the levels and entry points. Getting luggage in and out of the house was a challenge. I would not have chosen this house had I been able to see a more detailed depiction of the layout, as one of our family members is handicapped. The two downstairs bedrooms had no accessible closets and the chest of drawers was rickety and cheap. Getting in and out of the hot tub was tricky as there was not a step on the outside of it. Our little dog's leg slipped between gaps in the flooring of the outdoor deck. We loved that there were plenty of beds and bathrooms. But advertising that the home can bed 13 people is probably not completely accurate. Despite all this, we did have a great vacation and will rent vacation homes in our future.

We had a great stay with my family (10 people) at this property. We did grill out twice and ate on the deck which was nice. It is close to the restaurants in Whitefish. The west entrance for Glacier National Park is about 45 minutes away.

We (all 8 people) are very happy with our 4-night stay at the "Hellroaring Hut". The check-in process was smooth. The property is very well furnished and had pretty much everything one might need for a short stay. This house is located in very nice wooded surroundings and has a great location. However, if your primary target is Glacier National Park, it is a bit far out. Having said that, I would like to make a few simple suggestions. The hot water tank can be replaced with a bigger and faster recovering tank to minimize hot water issues. The downstairs part can also use better and upgraded mattresses to avoid "back issues". And finally, we noticed a slight odor which is either related to the dishwasher or the water itself. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will use this property again, if we travel that way. Very nice and responsive hosts.

We gathered the family from around the country for a late christmas gathering. We had a wonderful time and the skiing was great. The house was cozy and accomodated all of us very well. Loved the wood burning stove, hot tub, and large table for game night. The house was out of the city a bit and we had snow every day so the road to get there was a bit slippery. I was happy to see that the road and the driveway were plowed in a timely fashion. The correspondence prior to arrival said that we would have a couple pods for laundry and small size toiletries to get us started. There was no dishwashing liquid/pods, no laundry deteregent/pods, and no shampoo (there was lotion and conditioner but no shampoo). We didn't actually notice the no shampoo until the morning when we were all trying to take a shower. Luckily one of the group brought a small bottle so we all shared until we could go buy some. Overall a great house and great experience with wonderful memories made in Whitefish.

My husband and I stayed at this property in early December 2021. We got a lot of snow during our trip and it was gorgeous! The property is great, well equipped. There was firewood for the fireplace. And the hot tub was a special treat for us. Property secluded enough that you feel like it’s your own escape, but close enough to town that you can easily get groceries, go shopping, etc. I would recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle if you’re going in the winter time.

We spent Thanksgiving as a family at this amazing mountain home. It has everything you need to create lasting memories. Very convenient location to enjoy everything Montana has to offer. We hope to visit this property again.
