Staff friendly & helpful. Room was clean & comfortable but a bit small. Breakfast had good selection but not always topped up in a timely manner & not kept hot enough. As an Expedia VIP member I received a bottle of wine. It would have been nice if I could have chosen the type of wine as I don’t drink red.

It is a hotel and is what we had expected except that the staff in the dinning room need training. When ordering chicken nibbles I had to ask for a finger bowl and I was given an empty bowl. He did not know what I wanted it for? The food was only average, the dessert base of the cheesecake cake was so hard it could not be cut with a knife and was solid frozen. Presentation of meals need to be improved if you want to increase your patronage and waiters need to be upskilled in the placement of food.

Central City, walking distance to waterfront and shops. Bed was really comfy and linen clean and fresh. Some stains on the carpet, general marks, wear & tear starting to show. Aircon vents needed to be cleaned.

I love the staff, they were great and friendly throughout. However, the room was a bit smelly, the bathroom bin didn’t have a bin bag, and I could hear the people on the floor above me open and close their drawers. I’m sure they could hear my alarm too.

The room was cold on arrival and nothing could be done. The engineers had gone home, there was no portable heater. It was solved but not before a great deal of stress.

Nice comfy bed and black out drapes amazing. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. I liked that I could open the window a bit even though I was on 20th floor. Would definitely recommend.

Great location in the CBD. Walking distance to woolsworth mart, Cablecar, beehive, teppa. I would recommend oneway cablecar ticket to top and then walk your way down through botanical garden to the hive. Lots of place to eat around and shop. Rooms are not up to date, No A/C just a fan. Would recommend to book room with marina view.

We had numerous issues with this hotel, starting with how to access hotel from street, to hot room with no air conditioning ( a fan with cord across table ) which precluded access to other side of bed. Complained to management and finally after wasting 45 mins of our time we were moved to a better room Still no air con . Parking also a big issue. The bays are not clearly numbered/hotel parking in commercial garage was full / after moving car twice we received a late night call around 10 pm re issue with our parking bay. Husband had to get dressed and go down to reception, only to find staff hadn’t communicated from previous shift ! Communicated our issues to assistant manager as we left Wine was delivered to room from VIP after we accessed room and told staff there was none in fridge

It’s a heritage building, of course so the architecture is superb with ornate mouldings and vaulted ceilings. very spacious and equipped with smart TVs, stand in showers, kitchenette, and very centralized. There is one toilet, however that is difficult to flush, the only negative about this place.

A large hotel in a convenient location. Be aware there are 11 rooms per floor and they vary considerably by size, so it’s difficult to know what you are reserving. No AC and poor ventilation, but they are comfortable and we would stay there again. Helpful staff. NO laundry facilities.
