Kia Ora,Looking at your booking i can see you booked a standard twin, But were upgraded to a Twin ensuite with harbor view- out top room category. currently non of rooms provide tea/coffee facilities. But thank you for you feedback.

We offered to room move you and you declined. The construction is going on 2 floor above and the construction team are incredibly professional and kind. The building work you are refering to,were actually bed makers as they are making all the new bunks and setting up the beds on our refurbished floors and any concerns you may have encountered, you could have spoken to us and we can speak to the project manager. In the communication you received that we were under renovation, would have been a section informing you that some of our facilities including lounge and laundry were unavailable at this time.Due to limit space in Wellington our waste bins are and have always been in the car port close to the main reception.Our housekeeping team are working hard on deep cleaning the kitchens and bathrooms for our guests. I know the team were out during your stay making this space clean and presentable, we unfortunately can not control other guests leaving behind a mess after housekeeping have tidied up, but we certainly take on your feedback and endeavor to improve. Obviously we are under renovations at the moment to make the space clean and fresh for all to enjoy in the future and we appreciate our guests understanding and patience during this time.YHA Wellington

I will discuss your check in with our night manager. I can see you were with us for 2 days and i was on shift all day on the Friday, its a shame you did not bring your concerns to us, so that we could have had an opportunity to rectify for you, whilst you were onsite.We wish you safe travels.Regards- YHA Wellington

However their are laundromats, within 5 minutes walk of the hostel.We apologise for the inconvenience, We also don't offer a service mid stay, however had you requested fresh towels we would have happily provided to you. The housekeeping tram work hard to keep the place clean and tidy, but other guests do let us down. The team are out cleaning the public spaces twice a day. However when busy, we find that those not respecting the rules, leave a mess 5 minutes after housekeeping have left the area,.We hope you will come back and see your experience was a one off.RegardsYHA Wellington
