« Our stay came after an 18" snowfall and near 0F cold in historic Collinsville, so we were concerned about our late arrival, parking, safe walkways and a warm home. What we found were shovelled and treated walkways, a freshly plowed parking space, lights and heat on and a lovely home on the banks of the frozen Farmington River. « We chose this house because of the beautiful porch and, I will be real, the pics of the light-up toilets perplexed and astounded us. Neither of these were a disappointment!!!!!!! Porch was beautiful, BOTH toilets light up (I guess as night lights?), hosts were prompt, property was clean, and there was very clear signage everywhere you might want clear signage (house rules, hand soap vs dish soap, etc). « Where do I begin--- 1) upon checking in Friday a maintenance guy was parked in the driveway so I had to contact the owner where to park since the property is on a very narrow road and there is no available street parking, 2) maintenance guy was on the property for almost 2 hours to get heat and hot water working, 3) I was instructed to turn up the heat to heat up the water (that didn't work, couldn't take comfortable warm showers at bedtime after a long travel day), 3) left early in the morning...

« Our family of four adults appreciated all the attention to detail provided during our three-night stay. From pantry items to having available items like tooth brushes and cords for electronics, we felt welcome. We could walk to Whole Foods and Blue Back Square.
