Communication was very poor, no parking available. I had to get in touch with VRBO to force the hosts to give us check in details since they would not respond. The address took us to the front of the building when the door to get in is on the side. Blankets, sheets, and towels were wet in the washer and wrinkled in the dryer when we arrived. The spare blankets were not clean. The place was not clean overall when we arrived.There was no hot tub as listed. There were only two real beds, the other ones were just blow up mattresses. The dishwasher was not properly fitted into the counters, therefore unusable. The neighborhood itself, did not feel safe, it was right by a bus stop so there were constantly shady people walking around. Not sure if it was a shelter or mission building But there were people sitting and sleeping in the street in front of the gate. This property was not worth the amount of money it was listed for. Good things: it was spacious for Washington DC. Having Netflix available was nice. Soaps and trash bags were stocked up.

Confusing to get into the property as the address takes you to a pink door, not orange. I walked into the wrong condo. Its on the corner so just go to the perpendicular street to enter the residence. The lock/door is very finicky & i had to call the owners to get in. I fear because the lock/door isnt seated properly, eventually the door will end up damaged as its extremely hard to work. We didnt think the residence was as decribed as theres no hot tub at this residence and thats 1 of the reasons we went with this property as it was listed to have a hot tub. Theres a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom but we clicked we wanted a hot tub. If booking for a kitchen, just realize its more of a college kid's kitchen as there wasnt enough kitchen tools to cook meals very easily. No lids for any pots or pans, no plastic wrap or foil, no sealable options for leftovers, no meat thermometer, no salt or pepper, no coffee but was a keurig for use if you provide your own coffee. Ive never stayed anywhere that coffee wasnt provided. The lack of kitchen supplies & no hot tub would have had us picking a different spot in hindsite, but there was no way to know until arrival. The internet was very slow making it difficult to be able to watch the news as the tv was only via internet. More than 1/2 our trip, there was no way to watch tv. Cab/uber/lyft drivers all said its a bad neighborhood. Owners were easy to contact when needed.

Unfortunately, this stay was not pleasant. I've never stayed at a VRBO where I, the client, felt the owners weren't willing to take care of things excellently. Same with the other 4 ladies who stayed. I was expecting to relax on this trip, but that did not happen. As the paying client, I do not usually handle fixing issues within the unit
the communication beforehand was inconsistent and was a lot of work compared to other stays, even with some special requests - like asking for a blender and an early check-in and late check out. We got the early and late checking in and out, but the blender was not in our place. The wifi did not work for all 5 of us the entire stay!! The owner came over and said it worked fine for her
 all 5 of us (paying clients) couldn’t get it to work, and it was put on us as if it was our issue. The extra sheets were in the dryer and had moleskins from someone else on them, and the pillows were dirty. It really only sleeps four comfortably and 5 with an air mattress. There was no welcome guide or instructions to help navigate the temperature (which was also a nightmare), neighborhood, wifi info, etc. The garage is graffitied out
 overpriced stay and location. There is much room for improvement. Did I mention the fridge went out, & we were offered ice, but I had to stay up later to get it after a long day in the sun? When asking for compensation for all of these issues & more it was shut down quickly. Highly do not recommend it.

We felt comfortable and safe in this 2nd story apartment in this vintage DC rowhouse. Thought we would use the Metro but Ubdered everywhere with ease. Hosts were inviting and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Overall our stay was pretty good. The apartment looked as expected from the listing and the location was great. We did encounter a couple of instances where communication could have been better (check-in info wasn't received until I reminded the hosts pretty late the night before; I also had to follow up after a day when I didn't get a response to a question about checkout). The apartment was clean, except for the floors. There was a good deal of what seemed to be dog hair all over the rug in the living room that was getting on our socks and clothes, so it seems like they may not have vacuumed before we arrived. They also leave very cheap, paper-thin toilet paper for their guests like you would see in an office. It's a small thing, but it doesn't make you feel particularly welcome in the space and send a message that the hosts are cutting some corners. I'd recommend bringing your own TP if possible. None of these complaints are immediate deal breakers, and I would potentially stay here again. They were just minor inconveniences that could make a big impact if addressed by the hosts. We appreciate them hosting us in their space regardless.

A lovely flat with lots of windows and comfortable surroundings. Caroline was easy to reach and very helpful. She even ran over a baby gate for the two-year-old in our group. Only comment would be that the "double beds" in the living room was a recliner couch that really didn't work well as a bed. There was an air mattress available, but our twenty-something chose to sleep on the couch as is. The P6 bus was right outside the door and got us around well.

The hosts were very communicative which was very helpful. The apartment is centrally located, so it was easy to walk to most of the activities we participated in. The apartment is older, so came with some oddities (e.g., uneven floors, a hint of a smell, etc.). The assigned internet was not stable, but the host provided an alternate network that we were able to connect to.

We’re not out at night people so we looked forward to coming back to this bright and comfortable penthouse after museums and sightseeing. We ordered Chinese and Jamaican from nearby restaurants and ate at the Pup and The People twice. Great all around spot to be your home in DC. The hosts are great and extremely thoughtful with wine and snacks for us on arrival and tips for food and things to do. Thanks so much!

It was a great spacious apartment, open concept kitchen and living room. Lots of sunlight. Great couch for lounging and comfortable beds. Perfect for a family vacation! The nearby bar “Pub and the People” was one of our favorites. Will and Caroline were very responsive and were able to accommodate us after short notice. Would definitely book again, hopefully in the summer to take advantage of the outdoor space.
