À ÉVITER
Hôtel à éviter. De tout notre séjour à nouvelle- Zélande nous avions choisi des petits motels ou petits hôtels car nous arrivions tard et repartions tôt le matin. Sauf pour le choix de cet hôtel. Nous avions fait les 20 kms de Tongariro Aloine Crossing et nous voulions un bel hôtel pour nous reposer: piscine spa sauna tout y était. Nous avons pris un studio supérieur c’était le hireir . Propreté à revoir, pas de clim ( un ventilo ) chambre à 30 degré au moins. Moquette vieille et impropre. Studio sans vaisselle ! Piscine eau trouble, spa (jacuzzi ) un seul fonctionnait, eau sale (cheveux, détritus dedans ) sauna avec des déchets dedans (verre…) Rien n est entretenu . Ça vit sur leurs acquis, tout est délabré . Chaises de piscine (5/6 qui se court après … et pour couronner le tout arraignee ou puce de lit, j ai été piquée sur tout le corps . J ai du demandé un anti-staminique . Pour le prix c’est inadmissible

Very Disappointing
There was a convention on that we were only told about on arrival. Had to endure thumping music until midnight on both nights of our stay. Paid full price for king room that did not have the advertised king bed - only had a queen. Was not the relaxing weekend we were hoping for.

Absolutely stunning resort ! Heaps of parking. The pool was absolutely amazing with how warm it was. The rooms were quiet and peaceful. The staff were very lovely to deal with. Two things I would like to point out is our room was quite hard to find due to lack of signage to room 605 and I respectfully ask that someone is to look into infant safe sleeping as adding a extra mattress to a portacot is dangerous it even says on the ports cot not to do so. :) Otherwise thank you so much and we will definitely be back

Excellent stay, room was great, the dining for breakfast and dinner was great. Only issue I had was we went for a swim at the pool, it had been drizzling rain, and there was nowhere covered to put any items of clothing or towels, etc, which meant they got wet, when you’d want to get out of the pool and dry off before walking across to the opposite side of the resort to the room.

We were disappointed as had wanted to stay at this resort forever but it was not the best hotel experience. It is a massive hotel and very noisy at night and early morning. Not the cleanest and the rooms are dated. The corridors are a maze and very dated too. Breakfast price was unaffordable for a family of four. Staff at check in ridiculously slow and disinterested. We won’t be rushing back.

Had two bookings, first night in studio then three nights in Family Villa. Rubbish and recycling not collected. Cockroaches in both units. Door lock Broken in family unit. No compendium in either unit. Checked into studio OK, then told we did not have a booking for following three nights. we had to provide email proof of Expedia booking before they accepted booking. Others in que in front of me could still not book in at 5:30 PM, including couple with baby and elderly parent. Hot pool was not disabled friendly, struggled to get out with failing knees. will never return nor recommend to others.

Property looks a bit dated. Staff is friendly. Room was clean and had all the amenities we expected. Parking is easy but it is located outside of town so you need to drive.

Nice comfortable and clean room. Staff were friendly and the check-in and check out were easy and quick. Pool was great and there is a secure room for bike storage. We ate in Taupo so cant comment on the food.

The facility was underwhelming. The title “Resort” is stretching the imagination. The place needs allot of work. Half the amenities are not available on the property. The staff seem good and the food was very good at the restaurants.

Good looking hotel with pleasant grounds. Room a little tired but in good condition and clean. Some facilities are temporarily closed. Pool area a bit neglected - needs a good sweeping. Restaurant expensive. But staff were welcoming and helpful. Overall, got the impression that the hotel used to be very exclusive but now not quite the glamous location it used to be.

Property is in a fully outside the city area, so it's very quiet, but still a quick drive away from Taupo (which is good, because I at least visited Taupo every day). It seemed like there wasn't enough front desk staff, as I was stuck waiting on someone multiple times, even though other staff were visible walking around the front desk. Wifi is advertised as free, but is limited to 2GB unless you want to share a bunch of personal info for 10GB. 2GB goes fast when you're streaming anything - I kept getting kicked off after 1-2 hours of use. Wifi speeds were fine at least (though you'll want to stream at lower quality anyway to not get kicked earlier). Property is a little run down, but nice enough. Keycards are made of wood for some reason. Parking is very easy, unless you get a holiday like valentines, when things filled up quite a bit (though I could still find parking). Pool area was nice, pool was quite warm. Pool noise is noticeable in the room at times, but wasn't too much, and the pool closes by 11pm anyway.

This resort is in a great location with nice pools and OK facilities. The room itself was clean enough but incredibly old and dated. Very worn out carpets and furnishings etc. But the main negative was how incredibly hot the room gets. We were staying in early February and the outside temperature was warm but not extremely hot; however the room seemed to catch all the sun and heat and there was only an ineffective ceiling fan to try and relieve the situation. Despite having the fan on full the room was still unbearably hot all night. Even with windows open. For this reason I probably wouldn't stay here again if coming in Summer.
