« If you're looking for a peaceful escape, this is it. Nestled amongst the trees, this property is incredibly quiet and surrounded by nature. The location couldn't have been better—close enough to explore all that the Catskills and the upper Hudson Valley have to offer, from scenic hikes and charming small towns to incredible restaurants, shops, and local attractions. « Cheryl’s place is a lovely cottage near the lake. We loved everything they did to make our stay more enjoyable, from many pairs of water shoes (definitely helpful for swimming!) to folding chairs, floats, and many different coffee-making options. We also loved the wind chimes and napping bed on the screened-in porch.The swimming was good, although it’s a busy lake with many motor boats. We had some long swims and the water was warm / comfortable. It’s best to swim near shore to avoid the boats....
