« Not being a dog owner all floors and furniture need a good vacuum and every room need a good dusting snd removal of cobwebs. Bar stools were soiled and need a good clean. Dining table and counter tops we had had to clean. In addition we had a 8 month old baby with us and were relunctant to let her crawl. The front verandah and windows could have had a good clean. So not sure why we are charged cleaning fees?? »

« Great location on the water with jetty, only two houses away from boat ramp and plenty of parking. Peaceful relaxing location enjoyed fire pit and sound of swans at sunset. Outdoor kitchen great set up. Only 11km drive to Goolwa for supplies and fuel. Rug up in Winter when north easterly winds blowing. »

« We were so happy to have the opportunity to stay at this wonderful property on Kangaroo Island. The location was perfect for exploring the western end of the island, with Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, Raptor Domain, Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, and Little Sahara all about a 30-minute drive away.The property itself was peaceful and surrounded by nature, but the highlight for us was the incredible wildlife. We loved watching the abundant wallabies and kangaroos hopping around the property each...

« Tailem Retreat has to be the most meticulously clean BnB we have ever stayed at. It is modern, has every mod con, spacious, quiet, comfortable, easily accessible and a very accommodating host. « Clean house, some unexpected supplies which was wonderful. Only issue we had was not knowing the property had stairs throughout which made it a little tricky to navigate for someone who uses a walker. Otherwise a really lovely place. Beautiful views of the water, good amenities. We were happy with everything other than not being aware of the stairs, perhaps as a suggestion the owner could ensure they say on the Stayz site that the property contains stairs! »

« Gorgeous property! It was very clean and had lots of amenities to help it feel like a home. We had fun with the pool table and it was nice to have a piano in the house. The beds are comfortable and it was nice to have coffee available. The town is cute and has a nice little grocery store, a good restaurant for evening meals, a nice bakery, and a lovely brunch/lunch place. It is easy to get to Woodside, Hahndorf, and nearby wineries. »

« Jamie, the host, was awesome , very easy to talk to, and replied straight away. The house was fantastic, clean everything you could possibly wont and more. The location was perfect just two minutes to the pub and shops and 8 mins to the drag way . »

« Lovely well appointed home with great views.Comfortable beds with top quality bedding and linen.Unfortunately coffee machine was on the blink so lucky we brought some instant and our stove top espresso pot!Will definitely come again. »
