« I wish I had read more of the negative reviews before booking this house as I agree with the issues they raise. It’s a beautiful piece of property and the house offers a lot of space but feels not well maintained or fully furnished. I would expect more out of a grand home and setting like this.The listing says the pool doesn’t open until summer. Well, I would assume that Memorial Day weekend is the beginning of summer. I would certainly assume that the pool would be clean even if it’s not open...

We tried repeatedly to communicate with the owner, who only responded to one initial concern- that the house had no heat and we had to sleep with the temperature at 52 degrees the first night. « The house itself was fine but the pool was unusable and not maintained. We were frequently promised it would be fixed each day but there was no maintenance done. Even going through support, there was no attempt to make things right and we were unable to use the pool during a hot summer weekend. (There aren't even any pool towels for use) »
