« This was the second time we stayed at this cozy cottage on Mallets Bay. We love the location, close to Burlington, and the view from the cottage is gorgeous! Beverly and Gordon are friendly hosts and responded right away to any questions we had. We will most certainly be back again! »

« The cottage was just what we wanted for a ski week. Location = private and remote on a steep dirt road, yet 20 min to Sugarbush, 30 min to Bolton, and <15 min to both Waterbury and Waitsfield centers. House = ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids - 3 spacious bedrooms with comfy beds and 2 nice baths. Cozy living area, surprisingly great light for an old farmhouse, warm and efficient gas stove, and all the kitchen supplies you'll need - plus washer and dryer. « The house was clean and comfortable- photos are very accurate. It's a quiet location, though easy to get to anywhere you'd like to visit. The highlight is the view and sound of the lake which is amazing. »

« Wonderful place, just need to fill in holes and level the driveway out, especially at the garage. Hope to stay again one day, but I plan on driving my corvette next time, which sits low to the ground. Also, they are serious about no cellular service, but I enjoyed the quietness without my phone working. »

« Beds were comfortable and the 3 season porch was a great place to unwind. We enjoyed the view of the water from the house. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes. At night we could hear tree frogs calling on the other side of the road, which was fun. There's also a park nearby with walking trails, and a grocery store close by. Zachary's Pizza is also close and we had an excellent pizza there. It was about 20 minutes to downtown Burlington. A very relaxing place to stay, so glad we found it! »

« Our second stay at Baxter's Hideaway was just as wonderful as the first. Albert is very responsive. The property very clean and well-equipped. The proximity to the bike trail is great. With beautiful weather we meandered along Church Street Marketplace in Burlington each night (highly recommend!). If you want to eat dinner in Burlington we recommend making reservations well in advance. We will definitely return again next fall! »
