Perfect for what we needed
It was perfect for us. Easily accessible, clean, and just a good all around camp. Being right off the parking lot made unloading a breeze too. FWIW, it was me, a buddy, and two kids.

Almost 5 stars
Overall this was not a bad place to stay compared to others that I have stayed in there, BUT one big thing was when the tide went out you had to crawl out of the houseboat to get to the pier and to get back in you had to jump down. My wife is short and this was hard for her. The other thing was there was no ice scoop for the ice maker which was not a deal breaker but would have been nice if there was one (other places had them).

I’m sorry for the inconveniences. As for the ice scoop, I can’t tell you how many I have bought, people take them or leave them out. I’ll get another one soon, thanks for letting me know.

Best houseboat!
This was a great house, we stayed here to fish. Excellent location and very comfy beds! The communication with the owner was also amazing, he was very helpful and available. Thanks for the great stay!

Nice boat house
Stay was great! had a little trouble finding the boat house and getting in but no big deal. I did call the owner and ask a few legitimate questions about ac, how to work TV etc because there were three remotes and some were missing batteries. Batteries were delivered the next day while we were fishing and the owner stopped by again to see if ac was working well and it was. What he did not realize is, I was in the bedroom while he was talking to my customer and telling him he just wanted to check on the AC because the lady there before them was complaining about the thermostat showing 72 but then he took it a step further and told my customer "but then again, she complained about everything" It was a nice boat house but if you decide to rent it, don't ask any questions or take the chance of being embarrassed in front of your customers/guests by the owner.

Always a great stay at the Hoos and Blues, and this trip was no different. This place has everything you need for a comfortable stay while you get out on the water for some world class fishing! Highly recommended!!!!!

Good place to stay
The house was nice and clean. Beds comfortable. Perfect size for a small group of guys on a fishing adventure. Great not having to lug all the coolers and luggage a half mile across the dock. Parked less than 100 feet from the door..

Venice Fishing Trip - Memorial Weekend
Icemaker didn't work, TV didn't work, No internet, dirty towels were left in the washing machine, and clothes in the dryer. stove and oven were dirty. HVAC return air had about an inch is dirt and dust , filter filthy. I replaced the filter and cleaned the vent. I still have not received my deposit back

Really great location and amenities. Easy to check-in. Has its’ own ice machine. Really nice to easily communicate with the property manager when there’s a problem. Don’t forget to bring your own paper towels.

Decided to try a houseboat/camp in Venice to hunt big bull reds, and this place rocks. We dropped a pin location for the camp and our guide picked us up and dropped us off at our door each day. We recommend this well kept and furnished camp for a small group of fishers or hunters. Gervais was available and helpful at check-in and check-out. Big THX

Great place to stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at Hoo's & Blu's! The houseboat was very clean and well maintained. The beds were super comfy and the bathrooms were very clean. Our boat captain picked us at our dock, so it was very convenient. We also enjoyed the restaurant just down the way, CrawGators. The atmosphere was great and so was the food! The only thing that was missing was propane for the grill, otherwise everything was perfect! I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back!

Clean, convenient and all the amenities you could want.
Stayed for a fishing trip and had a great experience. Good l/easy communication with property owner. We considered canceling due to weather and the property owner said he would give us a full refund if this happened. We ended up staying and enjoyed our stay. The fishing was a little rough (windy) but had a great time anyhow. Would definitely stay here again.

June 2018 Weekend Stay
This property is well worth a look. It is everything as advertised, with easy access to the parking area and plenty of space for a boat. The property is clean, neat and well designed and makes a great fishing/hunting camp. The owner is very responsive and accommodating. We will be back most likely be back again for fishing in Nov.

Fish camp
The houseboat interiors were very nice and owner was very cooperative. We did have problems with the TV reception, plus the Houseboat had an issue with one pontoon sinking in the back so we walked on a downhill slant most of the time. The neighbors were great and very friendly. Venice is a fish camp and there is not much to do after fishing. Grocery store is 35 miles away.

Glad you enjoyed it. We didn't have a leaking pontoon, it was a ballast tank in the rear and has been repaired. Hope to have you back soon.

Great Getaway on Water
Houseboat is new and very comfortable. Close to parking lot so easy to get supplies to houseboat. Glass enclosed porch is really nice for gathering with family or friends at night, no bugs!! Plenty of room to dock a large boat which is wonderful. No dishwasher or ice machine, which would have been a nice plus. At this time there is no ramp from the dock to the houseboat so can be quiet a leap at times. Owner responses quickly and is really helpful. Would definitely stay again!!!

Thank you Lynn, we were glad to have you. Since your stay we have added Wifi, a charcoal grill and I have an ice machine I'm bringing down there soon. A ramp is in the works as well. We hope to have you back soon!
