Unbelievable situation and poor service
I need to describe the unbelievable situation and total lack of service : I booked for a night (28/05/2022) with my husband & 18-months old baby, as it was mentioned baby beds were available. I called few days before coming, to make sure that a baby bed will be available, which had been confirmed and specified on my booking by the lady on the phone. We arrived at 16.30 and asked if the baby bed was here. The lady at reception answered she doesn't know. No baby bed was in the room so i called the reception and the lady answered "we will bring one when we will have time". Ok .... At 17.30 still nothing so i called again. Same answer "we will bring one when we will have time". At 18.30 when we left for dinner still no baby bed, so i have been to the reception to ask if i can take one and bring it to the room by myself. Still the same lady answered "no you cannot, we will bring one when we will have time, by 20.00". (there was no customers waiting at reception, so she doesnt seem very busy). I told her OK but not after as it will already be late for my baby to go to bed. At 20.15 still no baby bed : i went to reception and the same lady was sipping a coke (no customers still ...) and told me i will bring in 15 minutes, now i am too busy. At the end, my baby slept with me, in a single bed (knowing that i am 6-month pregnant so you can imagine how comfortable it was and the night we spent) with the fear all night that he would fall down ... So If you have a baby/kid, think twice!

Dommage encore en travaux
Malheureusement, nous logions dans une partie en pleine rénovation. Travaux non terminés dans la SDB ...encore du plastique sur le sol des couloirs. Pour le reste rien a dire Ti dej varie et copieux .

Hotel de classe bien situe. Calme, silencieux, tres propre. Personnel aimable, souriant et patient. Petit bemol lors du petit dejeuner, manque de suivi dans l'approvisionnement vaisselle ( manque de tasses, et d'assiettes pendant 10 minutes !) Animaux de compagnie non admis, problemes lors de la recherche avec Trivago.

Arrivé à la réception, la courtoisie et l'accueil chaleureux que nous avons reçus étaient supérieur a beaucoup d'hôtel . Que dire du confort et propreté , excellents!

A recommander : très bonnes prestations
Très bonnes prestations : chambre très spacieuse et confortable, salle de bains avec installations récentes et grande douche à l'italienne, parking gratuit sur place. Excellent point de départ pour visiter le parc national de Haute Veluwe et le palais Het Loo. Seul petit bémol : le restaurant, pas tout à fait à la hauteur de nos attentes (salade mal lavée, plats sans prétention).

The hotel is nice in general, many convenient things, clean and comfortable. The restaurant could be improved with the food and service. The pool is small and shallow but remains a very nice thing.

Very nice Hotel
It's a very nice hotel with many good and useful things (fridge in the room, air conditioning, a pool and the best one: the hammam available til late in the evening). The beds are comfortable and the room are clean. The service in the restaurant could be better

OK hotel voor kortverblijf
Het Bastion Hotel is een OK hotel voor 1 a 2 overnachtingen. De kamer was schoon en netjes. Had ook een balkon dat in de zomer wel plezierig zal zijn. Je kan gebruik maken van een waterkoker en er is een ijskast. Echter is het hotel zeer gehorig. Vooral het dempend geluid van lopen op houten vloeren vond ik enorm storend. In mijn geval was het geluid heel laat in de avond en heel vroeg in de ochtend. Ook het eten in de restaurant vond ik niet geweldig. Ik had de spareribs, de portie was royaal maar de smaak viel tegen. Aan de positieve kant, ligt het hotel vlak bij het openbaar vervoer.

Er was een ruimte om te parkeren voor het hotel. De kamer was hoog, groot, het behang was mooi en de temperatuur was prettig warm (aangezien het koud was buiten) Bij aankomst werd medegedeeld dat er geen zwembad meer is terwijl dit wel op verschillende sites nog staat aangegeven. Ook werd niet verteld hoe het zit met de wifi. Er was een koelkastje, thee/koffie en de douche was mooi van formaat op de kamer. Wij konden hier echter geen gebruik van maken aangezien het putje niet was schoon gemaakt en de badkamer anders zou vollopen. Bij het uitchecken vroeg de dame van de receptie niet of alles naar wens was geweest. Ik heb dus zelf aangegeven dat dit niet het geval was. Er werd verder geen voorstel gedaan voor enige vorm van compensatie. Of dat ze er gelijk werk van zouden maken om dit voor toekomstige gasten te verbeteren. Wij gaan hier niet nogmaals heen.

Van alle Bastion Hotels die we tot dusver bezocht hebben, was dit wel de mooiste en schoonste. Vriendelijk personeel en geweldig ontbijt. Ongelooflijk grote kamer. Bedden waren wel wat zacht…

It is at a very convenient location. But with every visit, the quality has gone down….. example: the ground floor has been “renovated” to there are no twin bed rooms left on this floor. Now you have a king size bed with the light-switches half covered by the mattress and a 220v socket IN your bed. I made some pictures of this “shocking” discovery!

Didn't Meet its Potential
Pleasant place and comfy room, but very bad service and mediocre breakfast. On arrival the hotel couldn't find my booking. I turns out they had cancelled it only hours earlier and made no attempt to inform me of a problem. None of the reception staff knew what to do, but eventually rebooked me in, but there were no longer double beds available. Asking for a iron in the morning, I was told to fetch if from reception. "Normally we bring it but it's extremely busy" - there was nobody there and breakfast almost empty. I was then given a dirty iron which had to be changed. The process took half an hour! Breakfast service was pretty poor - the waitress forgot I'd ordered an omelette. The coffee was nasty and no toaster for bread. We did like the free pool table.

No way this is a 4-star hotel. I really don’t understand how others rate this to 8/10. The breakfast is very expensive and each day either bacon or scrambled eggs was missing. The room was not clean and dirty chair with white marks on them. We stayed two nights and instead of giving us new towels, they just took them and we had to do without. The staff was half of the time nice and the other half not very polite. Really not impressed, sorry.
