« Very clean and tidy, interesting decor in the room and in the hotel. Lots of towels, toiletries and the like in the bathroom - breakfast was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Only downside, not enough cups for the number of people booked in the room, not enough tea bags or milk for more than one cup of tea. But that is being picky! Really pleasant staff. »

« This is an excellent property located right on market street in Manchester (barely even a minute's walk). It is built on a Treehouse theme which makes it very refreshing and beautiful. The rooms are a bit small but designed very well. The staff is sweet and always ready to help. Highly recommended stay in Manchester! »

« Amazing breakfast which was included in the price of hotel. Lovely quiet hotel in good location. Room was a little on the dark side and could have benefitted from a light near the mirror for dressing and makeup. it was also a little too warm but there was a fan in the room. »

« The welcoming friendly and helpful staff were amazing and made our stay. The Hotel quality and location was perfect and breakfast was the best ever in a hotel. Great value and definitely would stay again for a couples weekend away. »

La chambre était spacieuse et le lit confortable mais nous avons rencontrés plusieurs problèmes: moquette tachée, chasse d’eau qui ne fonctionnait pas correctement, travaux en face de l’hotel qui nous réveillait à 8h, réception qui ne répond pas aux appels (2 essais 2 échecs). Il doit avoir mieux sur Manchester! »

Be aware there is a £100 deposit preauthorisation required until you have checked out and the room has been inspected.
My only criticism is the bed is very hard, the option of a mattress topper would be good. »

« I'm a little late writing this review since we stayed in April, but as we're planning another trip to Manchester, there isn't a single doubt in my mind where we'll be staying. Everything at the Motel One Royal Exchange went far beyond our expectations. The rooms were clean, the mattresses were great, the decoration of the lobby was stunning, the location was probably the best we could have found in Manchester. And despite being in the heart of the city, our room was impressively silent.

« Good property. Had everything except a hairdryer in the room. Two bottles of water, coffee machine, kettle and iron provided.
Shower was lovely. Room got hot but there was a fan in the room. No lift but that was no issue for us. Our room was two flights of stairs up.
Breckfast was nice except the bacon that was cooked in a well used pan so looked a bit off putting. Drink prices are good in the pub and no noise heard from the pub itself. Very good position for shops and town.

"Belle chambre mais un peu petite. Bien située près du tramway à st-peter square"
"Le personnel était sympa mais malheureusement la chambre n’était pas à la hauteur. (Propreté des murs et sols).
En revanche la literie était propre (et encore heureux).
Concernant la douche, pas d’eau chaude (obligé d’allumer le robinet en chaud pour avoir accès à l’eau chaude dans la cabine de douche…).
Autres point critique, c’est la clientèle de l’hôtel (très bruyante la nuit), les gens arrivent la nuit bourrés tapent sur les murs et hurlent à 3h du matin…
Niveau géographique c’est un peu loin du centre-ville de Manchester mais (je le savais déjà lors de ma réservation), en revanche l’hôtel est bien desservi (train et bus).

"I was on the 4th floor and I could really hear the street noice. I didn’t expect this from such a big and modern hotel. And then in the middle of the night a guy on the street was screaming his head out which was even more problematic ! My room was not super clean (floor)
My friend was given a room with was already occupied and woke the couple that was sleeping in it! There was only a small apology. No recognition of how bad this mistake was nor any compensation provided. "
