Roomy property and great location. Rugs could be updated and look a little dirty and the walls and paint, too. There arenât any water glasses - only mugs and the only hairdryer doesnât work. Plenty of towels and very quiet.
The pictures do not show nor is it described how steep and long the driveway is. We were not told we would need snow chains to be able to go up and down it. The walk from the driveway to front door was a huge 4 foot pile of snow that was NEVER cleared. We spent hours shoveling it and the driveway on multiple days. We also spent hours trying to get up the driveway even once it was finally plowed which was only once and not enough for the multiple days of snowfall. Our driveway even when not blocked was last to be plowed as were the streets in the neighborhood. We lost two days of prepaid skiing dealing with it. Customer service was not helpful and blamed us for having our car in the driveway even though there were never any instructions on where to park to allow for plowing and our car was not able to go down the driveway do to the steepness. We asked for any type of credit and were denied. We asked for help with getting salt or chains and were told they could not help. We also had a flicker of electricity go off which if it had stayed off, there was no wood for the fireplace to keep warm. Minor but when we got there towels were damp and cleanliness was moderate. We will never stay in a Vacasa home again. We own two rental properties ourselves and would have bent over backwards to help our renters and make sure they knew the conditions they would be dealing with. Not having a path to the door when we got there was unacceptable. And there was no salt or kitty litter to use to help with the slippy entrance. If we had been told we needed snow chains we would have gotten good ones and early. We rented a Ford Expedition with 4WD and it could not handle the driveway. We also could not park it in the garage. Overall terrible experience.
This home is at the bottom of a hill down a very steep (about 15 degree), 100 ft driveway. The driveway was ice and snow covered. As the snow melted black ice formed. One car couldnât make it down. Worst part is right in front of the house where it dips again. Over 3 1/2â of snow and ice was there. The walkway into the home was all ice. We asked repeatedly for it to be cleared and got no response. Every one of us fell at least once trying to get in or out. We spent 5 hours creating steps down in the snow and clearing the drive with a plastic shovel. All this for a hefty price? What a joke. And we had clear weather. With a good snow youâd be stuck with completely unresponsive Vacasa management.
