Excellent Place to Stay
Well equipped one bedroom barn conversion in a secluded location. This was a real find and the ideal place for us to stay with our two dogs. This is a great base for exploring the local area. The hosts, Margaret, Ron and Sue were very friendly and the welcome goodies were much appreciated. This is probably the best self catering accommodation that we have stayed in. We would certainly return here if we are in the area. Thank you all

Wonderful stay - hosts / property & location
Well what can I say, from the well equipped and very clean property, to the lovely hosts and the tasty cream teas on our arrival, the stay was just perfect. Lovely and quiet and so near to Dartmouth, Kingsbridge etc, by car. Our dog Ash was made very welcome and he enjoyed his early morning/evening walks up the quiet lane and the fields. We will definitely be back next year and thank you again Margaret, Ron and Sue for the really lovely stay.

Perfektes Ferienhaus für 2 in sehr ruhiger Umgebung
Wir haben ein sauberes und gut eingerichtetes Ferienhaus vorgefunden. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist sehr einsam, so dass wir für Unternehmungen immer das Auto benutzen. Das war uns aber vorher bekannt, daher kein Problem. Zum Einkaufen war es nicht weit und das nächste Pub war genau eine Meile entfernt. Wir haben viele schöne Ausflüge gemacht und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das war unser erster Urlaub in Süd-England und wir werden sicher noch einmal zurückkommen.

Whats not to like
For us it was perfect. Tucked away and a field to give the dogs a run. Accommodation is very good. Massive bed and quality fittings all around. 10 mins from Dartmouth and not far from everything basically. Thanks

Quiet location not far from the sea
We found the Shearling Cottage to be perfectly presented and suitable for us, a mature aged couple. It was well appointed, extremely clean and it was a pleasure to have such good quality linen on the king size bed. The cottage is on a very quiet farm but is only 4 miles from Dartmouth so the attractions and facilities of Dartmouth are not far away.

Very comfortable
Hidden down a track off the main road is this very comfortable holiday let. It is convienient for visiting the main sights in the area, Nothing fancy just well chosen equipment and furniture that actually works. You can tell that the owners know what they are doing. Speaking of whom they are a lovely family, friendly but not intrusive. This will be our go to place when in South Devon.

FANTASTIC
We were lucky enough to find this self contained Barn/Outbuilding on VRBO. The property itself is tucked away, so very private/peaceful although easy to find if you use Google maps. It served as a great central location in South Devon. We like many others took our dogs. There is a large field available to walk your dogs which is a real god send. Inside the property is spotlessly clean. If you don't have dogs don't be put off as it's tiles throughout the living area with underfloor heating so no lingering doggy smells. The owners are close by but give you the space to enjoy your stay, then even left a few necessitys/niceties to enjoy at the start of your stay. Overall a great break and one that we would definitely return to.

Excellent Cottage met all our needs.
Lovely owners, such a peaceful location, lots of birdlife to watch. Spotlessly clean, fully equipped even a Queen size very comfortable bed could not ask for anything more. If we ever choose to vist this part of England again would not hessitate to book again.

We really enjoyed our holiday at the Shearings. Margaret, Ron and Su were all really helpful. The cottage was spotlessly clean, and had every convenience, just like a home from home. Lots of space to walk our Dog morning and Evening in a very peaceful location. It was a very special place, we will be back.

A very quiet and peaceful property not far from Dartmouth. No stairs and car parked at door was a great help. Nicely furnished but an extra chair in the bedroom would be a help and also a grab handle and toiletries basket in the shower. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely holiday home
The Shearling is a perfect place for a quiet, peaceful holiday. It's close to Dartmouth (5 min drive) set in a small farm away from any roads so no noise. The hosts Margaret and her daughter Sue were very welcoming, on arrival we found a cream tea and fresh farm eggs waiting. The cottage is a perfect size and everything in it is absolutely first class and the bed one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The area has lots to do with fantastic beaches and places of interest nearby. Without doubt a place we will visit again.

Perfect in every way!
Fantastic property! Great location with so much to do within a short distance. We are non dog owners and were really impressed with how absolutely spotlessly clean it was. The bed is wonderfully comfortable and the whole property is beautifully done to a very high standard. Margaret & Ron were very friendly whilst respecting your privacy. We have stayed in many similar accommodations and this is one of the very best.
