Beautiful Location - Excellent Property
The property has stunning views and the direct access to the beach was amazing. The house is well maintained and equipped, and worked really well for our group of three generations. The teenagers especially enjoyed the hot tub, despite us not having the best weather. The local shop and pub being within walking distance was very handy. Excellent communication with the host, very helpful and responded very quickly to my messages.

We had a perfect week at this beautiful house. A home from home - comfortable and classy. Everything had been thought of and the welcome pack was much appreciated. It is probably the best holiday home we have stayed in, which is high praise!

A really beautiful house in a fantastic position. We had wonderful weather which meant we had access to the open aspects of the terrace and decking to eat drink and just relax.

Beautiful location
Property is right on the beach in an idyllic location, with a short drive to Looe. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect for us as an extended family. We had an issue during our stay and it was dealt with quickly and effectively by the owners and their team, so cannot fault on service. The property is well laid out with heaps of space for groups of up to 10. (We had 6 adults, 1 teenager and 3 younger children under 10).

Absolutely amazing
The photos and brochure are brilliant but we were not prepared for just how spacious & beautiful the house is and how amazing the view from the house is. We don’t usually go to the same place year after year but we just didn’t have enough this time so we will definitely be back and already booked Thanks Emily and Paul.

The View but ‘what a view’
Great location and we could watch the sea all day.. lovely to watch the world at sea go by with 180 degree look out across the water. Great accommodation and lots of space and everything you need for a family break. Nice access to Looe and other small and beautiful villages.

Lovely house - lovely position.
A roomy well equipped house, very comfortable with good outside space as well. Views of sea and coastline for 180 degrees and own steps down to the beach.

A fabulous stay
Very good communication from the point of booking onwards. We were sent a really helpful brochure in advance and check in was straightforward. The property was exactly as pictured and described. I don’t think I would ever tire of the views. The property is beautifully designed to make it so light with so many sea views. Inside there are so many things that make it a special place to stay. The beach is dog friendly and easily accessed down the steps. Seaton was a nice walk, with a couple of places to eat and drink. The other way was interesting, good for a swim and to see the big rock. We swum at both ends of the beach from the house. The water was really clear. Downderry has a friendly shop with almost every you could think of, we also had a Tesco delivery which worked well. We found the bistro on the high street expensive and not terribly friendly but ‘summink different’ was nice. Great range of ice creams and sorbet. Looe was a pretty local town, again with everything you could need. Sarah’s pasty shop was definitely worth a visit, as was the little sweet shop, hidden by the harbour. We had a lady come to the house for a spa day (Cornwall Home Spa) and visited ‘The View’ restaurant. We also took a drive to Padstow which we enjoyed, go early though. We really didn’t want to leave, we really felt very rested and relaxed after our week. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful house.

Great property with fantastic views
Stayed for a week in this great property. Views are simply outstanding. Property right on the beach…accessed from garden gate. There are cafes & restaurants in walking distance, and excellent restaurants within 15/20 mins drive. St Mellion Golf Course…30 min dive…is outstanding. Owners of property…Emily & Paul…were excellent hosts. Overall, great week & highly recommended

A Cornish Gem!
We had a lovely holiday at 'The View'. We were a party of six with a small dog. It's a beautiful spacious house with amazing views of the sea from the kitchen, lounge, master bedroom and garden. We really enjoyed the easy layout of the house and dining either in the kitchen with it's breath taking views or al fresco in the garden. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and wonderfully clean as was the rest of the property. Downderry is a quite village blessed with a great local restaurant, pub with sea views and a vegan cafe! There is a local convenience store but it's worth getting a supermarket delivery if you're doing a shop for the week. The host Emily Hendy was most helpful when dealing with our enquiries both before and during our stay. We have visited Cornwall several times over the years and really appreciated discovering this property which we consider a 'Cornish gem'. We definitely plan to return and would highly recommend it to others!

Absolutely Fantastic 1st Class
What a house the with the most amazing views situation on the beach within walking distance to a local shop and pubs. The house was well equipped with everything you needed, small touches like a welcome packed with local produce and cleaning /washing produce to start your stay. WI-FI and Smart TV and even a record player with a great selection of records. Games supplied for those wet day. This house will not disappoint its living the dream for your holiday stay. We had a very small problem which was sorted immediately and great communication with the hosts Emily and Paul. Neighbours very friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. We cannot recommended this house highly enough, and look forward to re visiting again.

Stunning!
Everything about this place is amazing. Stunning view, beautiful property, immaculately clean on arrival and an unspoilt gem in Cornwall. Couldn’t fault it at all. Owners were so helpful and touches like a basket of local produce on arrival, made a huge impact. It felt a privilege to share their beautiful home.

Quite with the vest view.
We stayed there for 9 days. The property was clean and with complete kitchen and living facilities. It has the best view and direct access to the beach. The host 'Emily' is great, responsive and and supportive. There is a convenience shop about 10 mins walk which has most every day needs but the supermarkets are far, about 25 mins drive. We had a great holidays there.

We have just got back from an amazing week at The View and all have agreed that if we ever go back to Cornwall then we are going back to The View. We couldn't fault the presentation and cleanliness of the house, the decor, the spaciousness - especially for a family of 6 - and the town of Downderry. We made use of the cupboard of board games, the record player and walking distance to restaurants and the perfect beach for rock pooling was just outside the door. The house was so vast we actually didn't find one of the rooms until the next morning! There are 4 double bedrooms and a 'kids' room with bunk beds that can sleep 4 with it's own ensuite. The kitchen is very well stocked with all you need if you are cooking all your usual family meals during your stay, washing machine was easy to use and we appreciated the supply of cleaning products etc...provided. Book ahead for the restaurants if you are going as they were busy. Thank you for sharing your beloved family holiday home with us.
