« What a perfect place for our stay in the Torquay area! The home was easy to find, easily accessed through a lock box, and had everything we needed. I feel I have to mention that the beds were amazing - so comfortable! It was in walking distance to a grocer, several restaurants, and Kent's Caves - and with bus stops nearby if you don't have a car handy. Claire was wonderful to work with, and I definitely would stay here again. »

« Despite the complex instructions to find the cottage, it was fairly easy. (A quick look beforehand on Google Street View helped!) Found it best to park the car first in the Freshwater car park as you exit the harbour up the hill. This is a long stay car park costing approx. (August 2024) £10 for 24hrs. « We had a very comfortable stay at The Hideaway. It was exceptionally clean and as you'd like to find it. It's situated in a lovely quiet street. We didn't meet the owners but they did contact us to offer any assistance should we need it, so that was nice to know. The only thing that would have been handy to know was when the robot hoover might come out as I'd left some magazines on the floor and they were obviously an obstacle for it! « I made the booking via Hotel.com and 5 hours after I paid I had an email that I had to pay a £50 mandatory fee for facilities passes at the park. I questioned this as nothing was stated via booking and the price stated was the final price I paid. I had emails from a 3rd party called travelnest and also getting emails from someone asking for £50. The whole booking was a mess. Eventually I spoke to the host and he kept saying its written in the description of this extra charge when I never saw it,...
