We recently stayed at this property in Topsham, Maine, and overall, we enjoyed our stay. The host was very kind and accommodating, allowing us to check in a few minutes early on short notice, which we greatly appreciated.
However, we were a bit disappointed by the outward appearance of the property. It wasnât very visually appealing, which we couldnât tell from winter photos listed. Additionally, one of the major reasons we booked this location was because the listing stated that there was a hot tub. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered there wasnât one, which was an error on VRBOâs end. This was a significant letdown, and resolving the issue with VRBO customer service took up about three hours of our vacation, which was quite frustrating.
That said, the interior of the apartment was nicely decorated and pretty clean. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept great each night. The neighborhood was quiet, which made for peaceful walks, although itâs worth noting that there isnât much to do in the immediate area, and itâs about a 30-minute drive to Portland. We really didnât spend much time on the property, as we were out exploring the area.
Despite the few drawbacks, we had a good stay and appreciated the host's hospitality.
