« We thought the room was not worth the price. It was a bit shabby and lacked the extras with a room that price. Early evening we saw two rats outside on our patio. There was a lack of staff at certain times and this was communicated to us when asking for breakfast. The bar and gardens were lovely, they were very helpful with our food choices but the Sticky toffee pudding was not to a good standard. »

« Very quaint pub in a quiet village - but full of life and character, obviously popular with locals and visitors alike. The staff were super friendly. Food was great. Our room was unique and full of old pub charm including sloping floors, but it was super clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was well appointed. »

« Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. »

« Wonderful old property, we stayed in our first room for 3 days, the room was very clean but the bathroom was very small with an even smaller shower, the sink was in the room, we had booked a deluxe room but wonder if room 2 actually was one? We stayed in Room No 1, which was an indulgence room on our 4th night which was much better for us, larger bed, which didn't squeak, lovely big bathroom with a huge walk in shower. Breakfast was great,but they ran out of vegetarian sausages on our 2nd...
