Without doubt one of the best hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in! Sri Shiravi is not a grand establishment with the endless facilities of a five-star palace, but for those who are looking for a certain kind of low-key luxury and the intimate feel of a private villa could not do better. Based around four Caribbean-style clapboard houses, each of which has three rooms only, the hotel creates a causal and supremely relaxing atmosphere - perfect for days relaxing by the fantastic pool or walking along the wild shoreline. The owners’ attention to detail is evident: paintwork and other surfaces are spotless throughout (no scuffing or stains here), the beds are supremely comfortable, the European-designed furniture is stylish and tasteful, and the well-looked-after guest can relax and uncurl his or her toes: this is an establishment with seriously high standards. Add to this the considerable bonus of charming staff who are present when needed but never intrusive, and you have a winning combination. The location is excellent - bang smack in front of a stunning stretch of sea but just a few minutes’ tuk tuk ride away from the beach restaurants at Mirissa for those who want lively evenings. We can’t wait to go back.
