Welcome to Sugarloaf, an AvantStay home!

Not many places provide the same level of design, scenery, and proximity to the slopes as this picturesque mountain home. Inside, light floods stylish spaces from every angle. Fun amenities, including provided board games, and barbecue grill keep the good times going after a day on the slopes, while the balcony keeps nature calling with endless views of pines, rolling hills, and mountain caps. The great outdoors has never been so close!

Home Truths:
- This home does not have AC.
- The 3rd bathroom does not have a shower, only a bath tub.
- Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Telluride experiences "off-seasons" in the spring and fall. Many services are not available to travelers. Please check activities/restaurants/home amenities, etc. when booking these dates.
- Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.
- Please note; As a ski town, many construction projects happen around town all summer. Working hours are 8 am-7 pm.

Parking Details:
​​​​​​​Parking is limited in the neighborhood, 1 parking space is assigned for the unit but will not fit large SUVs or trucks.

A pack n' play travel crib and a high chair are available upon request.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.

Convenient location, lots of space

Parking is tight in the garage, but you do have a space, and they are clear about that. Getting into the house was super easy for us. The bedrooms were nice and big on the first floor (ground level), and the kitchen and living area are upstairs. There's no A/C (as is posted) and the heating is radiant heat through the floor, so that was neat (although hard to control quickly). The views are amazing!! Absolutely loved looking out the windows onto a mountain with trees as well as the stream/pond with the beaver den. Close to a park (which we didn't use). We walked to all the restaurants and shops and to the free tram, and took the Bear Creek hike (which our windows overlooked part of it).

Great Location!

We loved this place! There is a beautiful view of the mountains from the windows and sits right by the river. The location is perfect, on the edge of town and everything is within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again.

Blissful stay in Telluride

From the moment we arrived, we started to relax. Excellent location on the edge of town, but within 2 min walk from restaurants and great coffee. Enveloped by nature. Home is tastefully furnished. Loved our stay and hope to be back soon!

Spacious, downtown, close to gondola, near river trail

We loved having three king sized beds and three bathrooms. The common area is nice and open with beautiful mountain views. The Oak Street lift and the Gondola was about three blocks away. We walked the River Trail daily and walked all over Telluride, It is also close to Town Park on a quiet street. The only negative is the fireplace pilot light went out and was serviced, but it went out again the day before we left. Probably needs attention.

Perfect for 4

Sugarloaf was awesome!! Very clean and had all the amenities. Loved having King Size beds throughout the house, and our own bathrooms. We literally parked our car, and didn’t have to move it until the day we left. 3-5 min walk to everywhere you need to be. Would definitely stay there again, and will be using Avant Stay next year when come back! Telluride is the best.

Holiday Ski Trip

The unit was very comfortable for three of us, two family members (father & son) and one friend as the three bedrooms afforded everyone the requisite amount of privacy. Perfect location as we never needed our car since we were able to walk, only a few blocks, to the gondola, restaurants and the grocery store. Only issue was the noise from the upstairs neighbor on the last night. I believe they moved in that night and the neighboring unit is only above the master bedroom.

Great Spot.

Nice place ... close to food & entertainment. Check in was super easy. Rooms are nice & clean and thankfully no bunk beds!! Can get a little crowded in kitchen with 4 adults with small coffee maker, but other than that great spot!!

Almost perfect

Great location for a stay in Telluride and exploring Mountain Village. Overall rating would have been excellent except for a couple disappointments. The listing stated three full bathrooms, but upon arrival we discovered that one bathroom had a tub without a shower option. More disappointing though was a notification from the property manager just one day before check-in (and after we’d been traveling already for three days) that the property’s washer and dryer were both broken and unable to be repaired or replaced during our 5 night stay. One reason we had picked the property was because of the washer/dryer feature. The property manager didn’t offer any discount for the inconvenience.
