We stayed for 1 night, speedy check in was very close to watchet and other towns we visited, staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful, food is very reasonable and very good quality would definitely look to return.

Loved our stay here. Would come again however with my own pillow - theirs are lumpy! Everything else was great, service, food, cleanliness etc.

Amazing, Beautiful weekend.
We've just got back from a lovely night away. The hotel is lovely with Amazing views, spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly. Our evening meal was delicious and our breakfast tasty and very accomadating to my fussy husband haha. I've wanted to stay here for many years and will definitely return :)

Great location just opposite a lovely park area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very well presented and with ample room and the breakfast the next day was spot on and just what we needed before our journey 😀

Family Stay
The room was immaculate and quite spacious for a family room. The check-in was quock and easy. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The food and service in thd bar was also excellent.

Great room, good food, staff need a bit of help!
Lovely place in a great position. The room was very spacious and comfortable and in excellent condition. Breakfast was good. The only negative comment was the waiting staff in the pub needed training - they were clueless! Had no idea what beers were on draught, for instance, and couldn't answer simple questions about the food on offer. Bar staff clearly don't know about the bed and breakfast side of the business so check in was a bit offhand; e.g. we asked if the cot we'd booked was in our room, just said didnt know but they'd never seen a cot in the hotel (?!). The sofa bed hadn't been made up on our arrival - this was sorted out perfectly efficiently while we had a drink in the garden so all was well, but we did feel a bit as if we were being annoying!

I'm sorry that the sofa bed was not made in your room. Your room request through Expedia stated just a Queen bed was required and your subsequent written request for a cot, was acknowledged through the platform. It did not request that the sofa bed be set, but I am delighted that we was able to respond to that booking error efficiently for you. As for team training, a sweeping but probably fair assessment having recruited an almost totally new team following more than 12 months of closure through a pandemic. The main part of the crew are just several weeks into their new posts and we still have some knowledge shortfalls to make good, which is indeed a work in progress.

What a delight!
This place delighted us from the minute we got there, welcoming staff, nice fresh-smelling room with a lovely view of autumnal colours and a good old English church. Breakfast was plentiful with some great choices to be had (delicious bread by the way) and we had 5 mornings of it... dinners were lovely but we unfortunately missed out on a carvery through our own bad planning as we’d designated Friday night as our fish ‘n’ chip night not realising we wouldn’t be there for the next carvery ... our loss as it looked delish! Overall a great place to stay but you would need transport to get about.

Amazing location with fantastic views. Friendly staff and great food. The room was a good size, very comfortable with a lovely balcony. Only thing that would have made it more perfect would have been having a small fridge in the room.
