« Was a bit tricky to find the cottage, the number was not visible at all because of a post in front of it.The shower was only hot for a very short moment, maybe a minute max, then suddenly freezing! Apart from that...Very nice and clean, private and quiet. comfortable beds. No tv or radio which didnt bother us. Fresh Flowers in vases and Cookies in the tin were nice touches. »

« This is our second stay at this beautiful Mapua Cottage. It’s quirky, warm, comfortable and very close to the small Mapua shopping area and eateries. Great walks and cycle trails are nearby, including rabbit island. Highly recommend. »

« The cottage was even better than the photos which is hard to believe because the photos were fantastic. This was a true oasis and Lesley was the perfect host. We loved all the thoughtful little touches... 2 x luggage racks plus a luggage bench in each room. The hot water bottles that matched the decor... truly Kiwiana. « The host was very friendly and helpful, the kitchen was well equipped and the location was great. On the less positive side, it is not a great place to stay when it is windy (there were gale force winds while we there); the walls rattled noisily and the wind came up through the decking flooring in the front room, as well as blowing straight into the long drop which has no door. Some of the furniture is extremely worn and lacking in charm. The bathroom window has no covering so lacks privacy....

« Host experience was nothing short of awful . I messaged the host ‘ore than a day before our arrival when I hadn’t received instructions for check in. I sent a message through the app and left two voicemails. I got zero response. With no exact address we drove to the street our house was on and drove the neighborhood for an hour trying to find it based on photos. With the help of a neighbor we found the house but of course had no lock box code for the key. We noted a sign on the property for...

« Die Bilder auf der Homepage sehen super einladend aus. Wir haben uns darauf gefreut, auf unserer Reise auch einmal etwas länger an einem schönen Ort zu verweilen. Als wir jedoch angekommen sind, haben wir ein Haus angetroffen, welches nicht mehr gepflegt wird. Mit Ausnahme der Küche und dem Bett, war es teils klebrig staubig und es hatte überall Spinnweben. Es schien auch, dass das Häuschen Monate nicht mehr bewohnt war. Offensichtlich hat man kurz vor unserer Ankunft die Küche oberflächlich...
