Pool in the desert, feather pillows and cotton she
The hotel manager was very helpful, collected us from Merzouga and drove us back and forth to the MaMa Africa music festival. (We travel by bus not car). The staff were keen to help and i was able to have several large pot of Lipton (black tea) with milk......bliss. The food seemed good although we didn’t have a main meal as we ate mainly in Merzouga. The pool was wonderful and wine was available at a good price.

Hot, hungry, no wifi, cash only.
I was happy to leave. The wifi only worked in the hotel lobby where there was no air conditioning at 107 degrees. I didn't realize I had booked a tent, so be aware of this. It was kind that I was given a room without even asking as it was too hot to survive in a tent. The room did have a small air conditioning unit, but not enough to keep cool, and no wifi. I felt stranded as there were no cars, no taxi's, and no cell phone reception. The guide they booked for my camel ride uncomfortably made passes at me and I had to forcibly push him away at one point. I was the only guest. I was surrounded by a staff of only men. When I arrived we had to search the hotel to locate someone. At checkout, I was asked to pay everything in cash, no credit card accepted. There are no ATM's. The staff tried to be kind, but nobody spoke English. They spoke pidgin Spanish so we marginally communicated that way. The transfer to the bus station was on a motorcycle. There was no lunch during the day, dinner was not good, no other food options around.
