Summary:
This gorgeous bungalow is nothing short of adorable! Enjoy your morning coffee on the spacious front porch as you watch Ybor's most popular residents: ROOSTERS! pass by! The famous and historic brick-paved roads of 7th Ave are just a block and a half away! Here you will find an endless assortment of restaurants, bars, cafe's, and nightlife. If you’re looking to be walking distance and to stay in the heart of Ybor City, this is your spot!

The Space:
This home features beautiful decor, elegant wooden beams, shimmering subway tile, a spacious front porch, and plenty of thoughtful touches that are sure to impress! Historic charm meets modern beauty. You can also enjoy the fully-equipped kitchen with new quartz countertops and new appliances! Off street parking available for one car. (At the back of the home.)

Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to a spacious 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom apartment with an air mattress for the living room. The house features an open layout with a breakfast bar and eat-in kitchen! Parking is available for 1 car located in the back of the home. Any additional cars will need to pay to be in a nearby parking garage or parking lot.

The Neighborhood:
Ybor City is known for it’s bars, restaurants, cigars, tattoo shops, roosters that roam the brick streets, and it’s historic charm. This bungalow is smack dab in the middle of it all. Wake up in the morning and you can walk to Blind Tiger Cafe or Ybor Beverage Company. For food you have MANY options: Columbia (Florida’s oldest restaurant which has been opened since 1905 and is world famous), La Terraza (amazing Italian food), La Creperia (delicious crepes), Chill bro’s (a popular ice cream shop—-make sure to try the Oreo one and if you’re lucky enough to get a waffle cone when it’s fresh off the waffle maker make sure not to miss that!). Ybor city is minutes away from Downtown, South Tampa, Armature works (Tampa Heights/Seminole Heights), Riverwalk, and everything else that the amazing city of Tampa has to offer which is all just a quick scooter ride away!

Getting Around:
Everything in Ybor is walkable. To go Downtown or to South Tampa you can either Scooter or Uber. If you’re going further to the airport or Beaches you should plan to have a car possibly (or Uber).

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING:

- Ybor City is famous for it's brick-paved roads, historic buildings, and most importantly, ROOSTERS! While staying in Ybor you will notice roosters everywhere. While we fully embrace our rooster residents and consider them part of the Ybor experience, we also understand this may not be for everyone. You can expect to see/hear the roosters during the day and at night. For guests who are are light sleepers or sensitive to noise, please consider this before booking. Noise cancelling machines are provided for guests who prefer to use them.

- There is only one parking space available. For guests with additional cars, nearby parking garages and parking lots are available for a fee.

- This house is a duplex with two units that share a wall.

- Please be considerate of nearby guests and keep noise to a minimum during sleeping hours.

One Night in Ybor City

The property was clean, great amenities, and perfect for a quick stay the night before a cruise. Lots of restaurants in walking distance!Main bed has firm mattress, couch is very soft, lots of soft blankets, and great water pressure in the shower!Only downside (out of owner’s control) is that Ybor City does have a loud and active nightlife. If you are a light sleeper, make sure to have earplugs.

Me and my boyfriend loved the space! There are roosters around and some kitties that will come up to the back porch and say hi. They are very friendly kitties. If you plan on cooking be sure to bring seasonings, salt, pepper, etc.

Gem in the Heart of Ybor

My only real complaint is that we couldn't stay longer!! The house was exactly as described and pictured! It was super clean and had everything we needed, even a space heater, which definitely came in handy! Pros:*Super Cute*Clean*Walking distance to Ybor Historic District*Easy Check in with clear instructions*Helpful tips throughout the house*Bed was super comfy*Quiet/ Safe feeling neighborhood*Kitchen well stocked (but did not have any basic seasonings or condiments that I saw)*Bathroom well stocked with anything you would need*Roosters!! We were up late and heard them, but once we went to bed, we didn't hear them again until the next morning! Super fun seeing them running around town*Parking in the back was super easy and convenient*Nice option for unloading out front or in back- both are very close to the doors/property, which made it very easy!Cons (and take this with a grain of salt):We needed another heater or two! We stayed on an especially cold night, which is unusual for Florida, so I do not fault them at all. I am only adding it as more of an FYI in case you find yourself there during the three days it gets cold in Florida! Sweats, socks, and the space heater with the bedroom doors did the trick!! This place really is a gem, and we are already trying to find a way to go back and stay longer!

Nice flat

Apartment is well appointed with everything needed. Located near many great restaurants. Owner/manager was very responsive. Check in process was easy. White noise makers provided in bedroom and sofa area made it so that any train or rooster noises were a non issue.

The place was clean upon arrival, the water pressure for the bathroom sink was ok, area was good lots of choices for dining/drinks and walkable. The entry for the parking space is located in the main bedroom which isn’t ideal if there’s 4 people staying on property. I’m 5’1 and the bed was mid chest which is oddly high. It was also VERY FIRM (not to my liking woke up with back pain). Overall, it was fine for a 1 night stay.

The house was great. Check in was easy. It was clean and comfortable. Kitchen had the basics of what you need. The only thing was that the bed was hard. Other than that its a great place to stay. Will definitely come back.

Great location

We stayed two nights and really enjoyed the location and cleanliness of the home. Our only issue was with VRBO when checking in. Apparently, I wasn’t charged for our stay when I had originally booked. So there was a hiccup checking in but the property manager was super helpful and took care of the issue asap. We would definitely stay here again.

Very impressed overall. The house was extremely clean and organized. They even had bathroom accessories in case you happen to forget to pack some of the important little things. The property manager was communicative and even checked in to make sure everything was satisfactory or if anything extra was needed. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Great Spot in Ybor City

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Gambino Getaway in Ybor. The home is located just steps away from 7th ave and stores, bars and dining. Ybor is really a changing neighborhood with a mix of the old and the new. We really enjoyed spending time at the History Museum and sampling the local flavors. The house is well-appointed and very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive--we did have an issue with the AC in the living room and were unable to use it for an entire very hot day. That was unfortunate, but the hosts did what they could to have it repaired as quickly as possible (the next day). Would have appreciated some sort of small compensation for this inconvenience. Some of the dishes/glassware in the kitchen had not been washed, but otherwise everything we needed was there. We adored our neighbor the white rooster. You won't need an alarm clock in the am! Definitely recommend and hope to return.

Really nice place in a fun area!

My boyfriend and I stayed overnight before heading out on a cruise and we loved it! It looks exactly like the pictures and was extremely clean and comfortable. It is only a few blocks away from all kinds of restaurants and bars so it's in a great location. We found the chickens everywhere to be pretty cool as well! The host was excellent at communicating and instructions for check-in were easy to follow. They even reached out to see if we needed anything. Highly recommended!

Ybor City getaway

Home was nicely decorated and very clean! Check-in was a breeze and home looked just as the listing depicted. Suggestions I have are to replace the bed/bed frame, as it was very squeeky when moving throughout the night. As soon as I sat our bags on the bed, I knew it was going to make sleeping troublesome. Also, recommend removing tree stump and extending parking area pavement, to better allow 2 cars to park side by side for the two units. I would stay here again, as long as the bed situation was resolved!

We enjoyed our stay. It was convenient to be able to walk to several bars and restaurants. The house was clean and the host responded quickly when we couldn't get in the door (we were at the wrong door). We would stay here again for sure!

GREAT location

Three walking blocks to the free streetcar that goes downtown each day. Quirky neighborhood with great ice cream and fun shops to explore. Very clean space with coffee and tea basics, food delivery easy and fast. There is a dresser but no closet, so if you have to be dressy make sure your clothes can be folded. The lock is at the back door, not the front, and the wifi info is different than the signs in the house. Overall it was a great stay and would definitely go again!

Loved how everything was walking distance. It was perfect and will definitely look into this spot again my next visit. The only complaint was the bed was super squeaky so any slight move produced the most loudest squeak.

Cute Bungalow steps from morning or late night kava, a block from all the bars and dance clubs. Great last minute find. Communication effortless, responsive. All meds and comfort met. Love the Roosters!

Great place loud neighbors

Loved, loved, loved the house the location and the ease of getting to and from everything. Clean place easy to get into unlike some rentals. Only thing didn't care for is something out of property owner's hands, the other rental people next to us in same house were LOUD AND LATE. But as I said, out of their hands at the time. Thank you for a great Gambino Getaway.
