Frank's Farmhouse - Apt in Historic Ybor City

Summary:
This gorgeous bungalow was recently remodeled and is nothing short of adorable! Enjoy your morning coffee on the spacious front porch as you watch Ybor's most popular residents pass by; Roosters! The famous and historic brick-paved roads of 7th Ave are just a block and a half away! Here you will find an endless assortment of restaurants, bars, cafe's, and nightlife. If you’re looking to be walking distance and to stay in the heart of Ybor City this is your spot!

The Space:
This home features beautiful decor, elegant wooden beams, shimmering subway tile, a spacious front porch, and plenty of thoughtful touches that are sure to impress! Historic charm meets modern beauty. You can also enjoy the fully-equipped kitchen with new quartz countertops and new appliances! Off street parking available for one car.

Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to a spacious 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom apartment with an air mattress for the living room. The house features an open layout with a breakfast bar and eat-in kitchen! Parking is available for 1 car located in the back of the home. Any additional cars will need to pay to be in a nearby parking garage or parking lot.

The Neighborhood:
Ybor City is a National Historic District. It is also the center of the Tampa nightlife and restaurant scene. Make sure to check out Chill Bro’s ice cream for the best Oreo Ice Cream you’ll ever have in your life (3 min walk) La Creperia (4 min walk) for delicious Crepes and Mama Rosa's Pizza (5 minute walk), and Columbia Restaurant (4 minute walk) which is the oldest restaurant in Florida. La Terrazza (4min walk) has AMAZING Italian food, Rasoi (8 min walk) has a great Indian lunch buffet, and Blind Tiger Cafe (2 min walk) for coffee. All of these are walking distance as well as everything else in Ybor City. Market (3 min away), ATM (3 min away) and ALL of Ybor is pretty much within a 10 min walk. You can take the cable car or city scooters to downtown or Channelside to watch the hockey games or any other concert/event at Amalie Arena. It’s 15 min from the Airport too so easy commute!

Getting Around:
Easy to walk everywhere in Ybor City, you can also take the Cable Car to Downtown Tampa as well as Channelside! Uber is also extremely accessible and affordable.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING:

- Ybor City is famous for it's brick-paved roads, historic buildings, and most importantly, ROOSTERS! While staying in Ybor you will notice roosters everywhere. While we fully embrace our rooster residents and consider them part of the Ybor experience, we also understand this may not be for everyone. You can expect to see/hear the roosters during the day and at night. For guests who are are light sleepers or sensitive to noise, please consider this before booking. Noise cancelling machines are provided for guests who prefer to use them.

- There is only one parking space available. For guests with additional cars, nearby parking garages and parking lots are available for a fee.

- This house is a duplex with two units that share a wall.

- Please be considerate of nearby guests and keep noise to a minimum during sleeping hours.

Interaction with Guests:
Available 24/7 via the airbnb messenger app. That will be the quickest way to get a response as I have family members and co-host that help me to ensure that you will have everything you need during your stay.

My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we loved being just a block from the Ybor restaurant and bar experience! We commuted a lot and had no problems getting transportation from the farm house. We enjoyed the chickens as well! We would book this house again if we visit Ybor in the future! Thanks Frank!

Not cleaned well, no blankets on the beds or available, only the scratchy quilt covering, the 2nd bed is a pull out couch with a 2” mattress if has a sign on it that says the bed doesn’t work and a blow up mattress is available instead. They did have good communication when we arrived, but this should have been stated before hand. When I asked about the pull out couch he said it worked but the blow up Mattress was probably more comfortable, would not have booked had I known that was our second bed, There was a water glass still in the bedroom, and like I said the place was just not super clean, a little musty.

While attending a conference at Hillsborough College Ybor Campus, I stayed in Frank's delightful farmhouse. I enjoyed making my own coffee each morning and walking only a block or two to wonderful restaurants and shops on the main street of Ybor City. I was alone but felt completely safe in the area, and Frank's place exceeded my expectations. I will definitely stay there again any time I am in Ybor City and highly recommend it to you.

The place seemed like a dream online. In person, it was cute. The cleaning was definitely rushed, and we weren’t left with paper towels. The front door code wouldn’t work, so we had to walk around back after picking up dinner. As we were putting the code in, I had to block the door due to a homeless person watching. I should’ve personally researched on the area, but it was not very safe and has very high crime rates. We felt extremely uneasy walking to the pizza place on the street over. When it came to shower, we couldn’t even stand under the spout since it was such hard pressure it literally hurt. Not to mention it didn’t get very warm.. I had personally should’ve done more research, but the reviews on this listing seem to be misleading; Possibly due to the host pushing for a perfect review after my stay. It could’ve definitely been worse, but I won’t stay here again. Communication with the host was great! And it was only a ten minute drive from the football stadium!

We are so happy we chose to stay here as our home base for USF family weekend. (You had me at roosters lol) Having the ability to walk to all the downtown restaurants, bars, and coffee was ideal. Although we didn’t find it too noisy, we did use the sound machine provided and found it a nice touch. We will stay again!

My friend and I came to Tampa for a birthday trip and rented this property. It was perfect!! The place was clean and decorated so nicely. The location is perfect, just steps away from the restaurants and shops on 7th Avenue. Also, the property manager Deanna was so incredibly nice and helpful. We will definitely rent through this company again!!

This home is central to so much! Right next door to a cafe, short walk from restaurants or a trolley ride to the nearest Publix, Tampa Aquarium and so much more. The night life is so energetic and there’s so much to do. The house was clean, well laid out and had everything we needed. Would stay here again if in the area.

The location was great. Steps away from main strip with restaurants and bars. There’s a cute coffee shop on the corner. The location was close to Spring Training games. Place was super clean! The shower could have been hotter and the bathroom floor was slippery. Be prepared
 the roosters were up early😂 !!! Also make sure to go in through the back door when punching in the code to get in.

I really liked this property. It's very cheerful, clean, and comfortable. Location didn't disappoint either. I've never been to Tampa and had no idea it had such a charming old part. I loved seeing and hearing roosters everywhere, that was unexpected and delightful, they were hilarious to observe. Guests do need ear plugs, since it's a very active night life there, so be prepared for that. I had them and slept like a rock, and for those who likes to party it's an additional bonus, you don't have to go too far. Thank you for your hospitality! I might come again next spring.

The property its self was nice. The shower takes a long time to get warm and they need a new shower head. The neighborhood around it was a tad run down and there was broken glass in the parking area. I reached out and they came and picked up the next morning. All in all for the price it was what was to be expected.
