This house is beautiful, but very old - it is a bit like visiting your grandparentâs home, with antique furniture, including a piano, though a few pieces of furniture are showing their age. This place is not suitable for those who use walking aids, as there is no paved path to the house, and a few tree roots to negotiate. There are steps into the house and a step to the bathroom. The bathroom is beautiful and new, but the kitchen isnât. There are a lot of groceries and supplies provided, maybe too many. The gas heater looks a bit worn and there were no instructions how to use it. But there are usable fireplaces. This place was quiet, with character and charm.
My friends and I had a great time at the cottage. It's very well equipped, with a wonderful peaceful garden. The interiors are very homey and has everything you need for a stay in the Blue Mountains.Only downside is that there is not a lot of parking on the property, and off street parking is a little tricky. There was also some broken glass on the carpet in the dining room when we arrived but it was easy enough to clean up.
Lots of charm, comfortable rooms and beds. Plenty of space for 4 adults with everything we needed. Some outside maintenance required but great value for the location.
