Lovely clean and new hotel in a great quiet location at Darling harbour. Everything you need is available, and the buffet breakfast is fabulous, with lovely hot barista made coffee. Would stay again.

Construction happening right under the hotel made our experience really bad. We chose this hotel for 2 nights and paid for the room with the harbour view to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary. Every morning there was construction starting from 7.30 am. Would not recommend anyone to choose this place if you’re a light sleeper. Spend your money somewhere else

We are very lucky to be located in Sydney where there are constant enhancements being made. Sometimes there is noise from these enhancements and sometimes there is no noise at all. Because we live in such a dynamic city we are unable to advise every guest of everything that is happening around us simply because it changes daily and is beyond our control. Nice rooms and convenient location. Excellent breakfast. As at early April there are works taking place by the pool. Would recommend generally with one caveat- its worth noting that (unlike many other hotel chain loyalty schemes) Accor will not give loyalty points for stays booked via Expedia.

We stayed at this hotel because of the large mall and numerous restaurants and cafes; it turned out the mall had been demolished and restaurants closed; ongoing construction every day and each taxi ride to anywhere was very expensive. Nice hotel but extremely inconvenient

Nice Hotel. Would recommend.
Had a good Stay at the Darling Harbour Sofitel in Sydney. The staff was all excellent. The room was clean and seemed well maintained. We only used the restaurant for Breakfast but it was clean, lively, and had an excellent assortment. Bell service and Concierge were excellent and helpful. My only complaint, and a minor one is the room lighting. Sometimes fancy switches and labels become more difficult to use than old fashioned on off switches. We were confused several times trying to figure out what switches control what lights.

A Darling in Darling Harbour
This is a very nice lux hotel in a great location. We had no issues in our 3 night stay. The beds were super comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. Highly recommend!

We chose Sydney as our honeymoon destination, which in itself turned out to be a great choice. Also the Sofitel hotel and its services were generally very good. Since it was our honeymoon, we wanted a bit of luxury, so instead of a standard room, we chose a significantly more expensive luxury corner room, which was advertised with a great view of Darling Harbour. When we got to the hotel and the room, it was revealed that directly in front of the hotel and the view was a huge and loud construction site, which practically covered the entire view from the corner room. The workers started working loudly every day in the morning around 7 o'clock, which inevitably affected both our sleep and our experience. In this regard, we were very disappointed, considering that the room in question was advertised as a deluxe room with a great view, which the construction site opening out the window certainly was not. The room was not as agreed and was definitely not worth the price. This should have been mentioned on the Hotels-com website or this should have been brought out in some other way, and the room in question should not have been advertised with a view or at least at such a high price. We would not have chosen that room if we had known this. The construction site and the resulting inconvenience were also not mentioned when we checked into the hotel, and the matter was not apologized for, let alone compensated in any way, or remedial measures were taken during our stay or check-out.
