Schönes Hotel etwas außerhalb mit zwei schönen, sauberen Hot Tubs und einer Fass-Sauna. Das Personal war super hilfsbereit und freundlich. Es gab sehr gutes Frühstück.

Best accommodation
We have stayed here for one night during our 6 night stay in Iceland and this was the best accommodation so far. Nice spacious room, few lounge area's where you can relax, nice hot tubs and sauna. Breakfast was delicious, kids loved the fresh made waffles. Staff very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to the families and couples.

Sehr freundlich wie alle Isländer, es gab im Hotel kostenfrei jeden Tag Sauna und 2 Thermalbecken, die Kaffeemaschine stand 24 h zur Verfügung und Tour Empfehlungen gab es gratis dazu, eine ganz grosse Empfehlung wir waren begeistert

部屋は狭いものの、ドリンクバーやNetflixが見られるモニター、リビングエリアがあり部屋の外で快適に過ごせました。ホットタブも子供達が喜んでいました。 周りに何もないので、オーロラが出る日はホテルの目の前で見られると思います。

We arrived late to the property. The person at the desk was polite and helpful. The beds were comfy. Breakfast had a nice variety. They have a nice comfy room made of glass to view the Northern Lights or enjoy a great book. We wushed we vould have stayed longer it was so comfy.

Modern hotel, close to Reykjavik, in rural setting
Only stayed one night but it was very enjoyable. We booked a hotel room but were asked if we would move into out of the hotel’s own cabins. This was to help them accommodate a larger group that night. The hotel is situated in a geothermal area and so plenty of steam vents in the surrounding. We did not have the time but the local village has a ‘hot river’ within easy hiking distance. In fact just near our cabin was some sort of machinery that pumped out hot water and steam 24x7. Our breakfast was included and provided both hot and cold options. But terrible fruit juice. Would be a great first night stopover after travelling in to Reykjavik being only 40km drive away.

Unser schönstes von 4 gebuchten Hotels innerhalb der Islandreise. Der Wintergarten ist hier das besondere- sehr gemütlich und hübsch. Wir hatten das große Glück, genau an dem Abend intensive Nordlichter beobachten zu dürfen und durch den Wintergarten konnte man im warmen darauf hoffen. Das Zimmer war ebenfalls gemütlich und das größte das wir hatten und das obwohl die anderen Hotels ähnlich teuer waren. Es gibt mehrere lounges zum Entspannen, alles stylisch und ansprechend. Einzig der Flur zu den Zimmern passt optisch nicht ganz zum Rest und wirkt etwas mehr altbacken, aber das war uns nicht so wichtig. Der Empfang war freundlich und die Lage gut und ruhig. In ca 15 Minuten war man in der nächsten kleinen Ortschaft. Einzig das Frühstück hat mir in anderen Pensionen etwas besser Gefallen, ein paar Dinge hatten gefehlt und vor allem das Rührei hat mir gar nicht geschmeckt, aber alles in allem in ordnung für den Standard dort. Die Sauna fand ich auch sehr cool! Ich würde wieder kommen

Bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr nett empfangen, mit Tipps, wo man essen kann und sogar ein wenig Geschichte über Island. Der nette Herr sprach sogar deutsch. Das Hotel hat ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Sogar eine Sauna und zwei Hot Pots standen kostenlos zur Verfügung. Ebenso Kaffee, Tee, Wasser, Säfte und Kekse. Schöne Sitzecken und einen Wintergarten. Zimmer schön und verhältnismäßig groß. Bad mit Dusche, vollkommen ausreichend. Zum Frühstück mehrere Brotsorten, Toast, Marmelade, Käse, Schinken, Müsli, Obst usw. Landestypisch. Brötchen gab es keine, aber das ist auch hier nicht üblich. Für Ausflüge nach Reykjavik und zum Thingvellir Nationalpark sind es jeweils ca. 50 km, was immer eine schöne Tagestour war. Zudem ist das Preis Leistungsverhältnis absolut klasse. Wir haben 14 Tage hier auf Island verbracht, in 9 verschiedenen Unterkünften. Das Hotel Kvika war das Beste. Wir würden es zu jeder Zeit wieder buchen

This hotel is outside of town, and situated in the beautiful countryside. We found it clean and quiet. Breakfast was simple, but good. We would definitely stay again.

Friendly, clean and well appointed hotel. Well away from light pollution so good for the Northern lights, not isolated as there are some other properties dotted around. Good buffet breakfast, but no restaurant, however the nearest town has a few good restaurants and is about 7km away. The hotel does have an evening bar however. We loved the spas baths and sauna that are on from mid afternoon and were wonderful after a full day seeing the sights.

Nichts auszusetzen. Gut augestattetes, gut gelegenes Hotel mit freundlichem und sehr zuvorkommendem Personal. Von hier aus habe ich Black Beach, Skogafoss, Seljalandsfoss, Myrdalsjökull, Geysir, Gullfoss, Kerid besucht. Dies an zwei Tagen. 10 Minuten entfernt liegt Hveragerdir. Hier findet man alles Überlebenswichtige.

Hotel Kvika is pretty clean. The shower room has the biggest space compared to all the other hotels on our Iceland trip, and the shower water is very nice. The double bed is pretty big, same size as Queen, and the mattress firmness is right about my favor. The room has the floor heating, which is pretty comfortable with bare feet. The front desk lady is very friendly and lead us to the room. I would not say the dinner is the best, but their breakfast is really good! Overall, I would recommend this hotel.
