Your private place by the sea with private seperate entrance, walking distance to beach, restaurants/cafes, shops, cinema, major shops, surf club and public transport. Enjoy private bedroom ensuite, lounge with sofa bed if needed. Has tropical outdoor entertainment and bbq area. Fully enclosed. Free wifi access. Watch the sunrise over the ocean or take in the sunset from Pt Cartwright lighthouse. Great for couples, singles or business folk.

Main bedroom had A/C, TV, comfortable queen sized bed, large shower ensuite with toilet, and seperate toilet. Seperate lounge with fan, TV, fold out sofa bed (extra fee for additional guests). The lounge has a microwave, toaster, sandwich maker, mini slow cooker, kettle, fridge, cutlery, crockery, tea, coffee, milk and small dining table ( Please note this is not a fully equipped kitchen and doesn't have an indoor kitchen sink). Spacious outdoor covered deck with comfortable seating in beautiful tropical garden. There is an outdoor sink with hot and cold water. You can enjoy our local favourites Kawana Hotel, Kawana Surf Club or one of the many cafes / restaurants.

Your unit has a private access via lock box key, located at the left hand side of the unit at the second wooden gate with seperate entrance from the owners, for your exclusive use of your rooms and outside deck and paved area, in fully fenced area. You will get your personal private code to the lockbox on date of arrival.

Your friendly hosts Marshall and Jeanne or their great co host look forward to welcoming you. Either way, there is a key lock for easy, safe and independent access. You will find a comprehensive travel guide so you can make the most of your stay on the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland. If you would like an earlier check in or late check out, please let us know and we will do our best to accomodate you but we do time to do a thorough covid clean and any possible maintenance in full preparation for your visit.

This is a friendly and safe beach and neighbourhood area close to all amenities. You have public exercise equipment and BBQs overlooking beaches or estuary.
Public transport is at Kawana Shopping Centre - just 270m away, to get you to famous Noosa, pristine Hinterland and beautiful Mooloolaba or Caloundra and so much more.

Just over an hour’s drive from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast is easily accessible and easy to navigate. Perfect for an action-packed holiday or quiet escape at any time of year. Discover vast beaches, a thriving food scene and many natural treasures in the surrounding hinterland.

At you doorsteps you may like to explore
- Buddina patrolled beach (200m) for surfing, stand up paddle boarding, swimming, fishing, walking and watching the sunrise over the sea.
- You also have World famous Mooloolaba Esplanade- 5-10min drive by car, or 10mins by bus from Kawana Shopping World with its restaurants, cafes, bars culture and the popular newly refurbished Harbour Wharf with cruises, restaurants and bars with a buzzing atmosphere.
- Pt Cartwright lighthouse (2.5km) and popular cafe along beautiful boardwalk used for walking, running or cycling . You can enjoy the panoramic views of the whole Sunshine Coast from Coolum to the hinterland Glass House Mountains and across the harbour into Mooloolaba.
- Kawana shopping centre (270m to newly renovated Centre) restaurants (Indian, Italian, Mexican, Asian, Western etc) cafes, major supermarkets (Coles, WoolWorths and Aldi's) and Gold Class cinemas
-Public transport (from Kawana Shopping World)
-Coastal Pathway nearby that runs through local beach forest all the way through to Caloundra in the south. Popular for bike riding, running and walking track. Lovely for bird watching too.

As we live so close to our beautiful expansive beaches, a walk or run or swim is a sheer delight. Just ask you to please rinse surplus sand off your feet at the outside tap or there is an outdoor shower at the wooden gate, before entering unit.
Your private accommodation has a seperate entrance, and outdoor tropical bbq and entertainment area for your sole use. This area is fully fenced. It is totally private and attached to a home for you to relax and enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you to all the Sunshine Coast had to offer.

PETS - are welcome upon application. The unit is suitable for 1 small dog.
We charge an additional fee of $40 per stay. We do ask that dogs don't sleep in the beds or get up on the lounges.

Photo ID and a selfie - we do kindly request the person booking sends a copy of their ID and a selfie via the platform message thread once the booking is confirmed.

IMPORTANT note - you may read reviews relating to noise being heard from the adjourning unit or running our of hot water. We have taken major steps to address this and installed sound proofing in the walls as well as a seperate hot water service. We really hope you find our little unit the tranquil escape we intended it to be.

SECURITY DEPOSIT - Please be advised that we take a refundable security deposit of $400. This is taken as an authorisation hold on the card you booked with 2 days prior to check out and released once the cleaners have attended after check and no later than 5 days later.

PROPERTY LIMITATIONS:
* This is a small unit at the back of another unit. It is private and has it's own entrance and enclosed courtyard.
* The kitchen is a kitchenette. There is no stove or oven or pots and pans to cook with. The sink is outside under the deck and there is a BBQ.
* We do supply a toaster, kettle, microwave, rice cooker and sandwich press.
* There is also no washing machine or dryer but there is a laundromat in the nearby shopping centre.
* There is only street parking available.
- No noise after 10pm and refrain from causing disturbances to the neighbours to avoid having them complain to local authorities.
- Strictly no parties allowed. Infringement on this rule may result in eviction without refund. Any additional time for the housekeepers to attend or inspect the property outside of their usual cleaning will result in additional administrative fees.
- If there is any damage to the property please inform the host ASAP as additional charges may apply.
- No pets allowed on the property. Additional charges may apply to those who ignore this rule.
- In the event that keys are lost/ damaged/ locked inside the property any time during your stay or check-out, we may need to call a locksmith and additional expenses will be charged to your account. If the cleaner’s or property manager’s schedule is affected by this, further charges may apply.
- Check-out time is 10am. If the cleaner is not able to clean on time, a delayed entry fee may apply. If you require late check-out, please contact the host 72 hours before check-out and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
- If you leave any items behind by accident, we are happy to post them back to you. However, we will need to compensate our housekeepers or managers for the postage fee and their time.
-We provide toiletries to get you started. Feel free to visit the nearest grocery store should you wish to restock for yourself.
- Take care of the property and avoid making a mess within the premises. Leaving dishes unwashed or having food items out in the open tend to attract pests and insects that may require pest control. This may be charged to your account as applicable.
- Smoking inside AND OUTSIDE the property is strictly prohibited. Charges may apply for additional cleaning and deodorisation of the property.
- Excessive use of utilities such as water, electricity, and WIFI may result in additional charges.
- Where a porta cot is provided, this is used at the guests own risk. The owner and hosts do not accept any liability should anything occur during its use.
- Only guests on the original booking may stay overnight.

Dirty and cramped
The floor was dirty when we arrived which we had to clean. Then we were told to put the bins out. Insulted by being told to leave the place neat and tidy which we always do. Access was appalling through two gates and down a narrow path with no lights. Further blocked access when neighbours parked enormous boat on driveway and we had to push through wet bushes to get to our room. Nothing was done about it. We were not told prior to check in we had to park on the road. I would not reccomend this place.

Small, tidy, modern Kawana Getaway - pet friendly
We stayed 3 nights, during Easter school holidays. 2 adults, 1 teenager and our dog. Property is small but clean and modern. Combined living, dinning area plus kitchenette in one room, plus master bedroom with large en-suite (shower and toilet), separate second toilet. Kitchenette has microwave, cutlery and crockery, but no stove or oven. Sink is (weirdly) outside. Basics like coffee, tea, longlife milk, salt, pepper, gladwrap, provided. Fold-out couch ok. No air-con in living area, ceiling fan only. Bedroom air-conditioned. Bed comfortable. En-suite not separated by a wall, so you're effectively sitting in the middle of the bedroom when you use toilet (no biggie). Linen and towels provided. Built-in cupboards, with extra sheets and blankets. Shower good, soaps/shampoos provided. Private courtyard behind, with small covered patio and paved area. BBQ and outdoor dining table. Clothesline. No grass for puppy. Lighting for back area is problematic, on a sensor, keeps turning off while you're out there. But there are torches and candles you can use. Property is part of a larger house, but completely separate. Parking is on street. Patrolled beach accessible from the next street over, <5 mins walk. Access to off-leash beach at Buddina also very close. Kawana shopping centre, with Woolies/Coles, coffee shops and takeaway options also within walking distance. Didn't appreciate host trying to sell us pillows through Stayz private DMs. All in all, nice spot, would stay again.

Great location and very pet friendly with courtyard.
A lovely clean and comfortable stay, with a great private courtyard and comfortable bed in a quiet street close to shops and the beach. Really great for humans and pets alike. The only downside was that it advertised a kitchen when there wasn't one, except, fridge, microwave and outdoor BBQ, which was communicated after booking was made. However, overall, a great stay.

Enjoying Buddina
We enjoyed our stay in this accommodation. The venue is very well situated and close to the beach, shops and food areas. Buddina is a great spot for both humans and dogs. There are leash off beaches as well as patrolled areas for families. The house itself was large enough for the two of us and our two medium sized dogs. There would be little room for additional guests though. Our dogs are happy to hang around us and so they did not need a large area to run around in and thus, were happy outside on the deck. We did not realise that there was no grass though and this was a bit of a shame for the dogs. For the humans though, the deck area is very private and we felt very secluded in the lovely garden. We knew there was no full kitchen but if we went again we would take my daughter’s advice and would take the air fryer to add variety, as we spent a lot of money eating out in the end. We would also take extra microwave containers, so that we could eat in more. I think we would choose to go back to this venue though as, on the whole, considering accessibility and price, it was a good place to stay. It was clean and tidy and easy to keep in good order.

Had a great stay! The unit isn't super fancy but has everything you need at a reasonable rate and fantastic location. I hired and ebike and had the best time riding along the coastal pathways.
