Cute little studio. Access thru the garage. Beds were very firm. Pillows were small and duvet blankets. I would have preferred larger pillows and comforters. Other than that everything else was great. Microwave, smart TV, portable AC, great hot water in shower. Shaun was super nice.

My experience was superb from beginning to end.. The owner was very tentative when I needed an iron and the place was very clean and comfortable.. Will definitely be staying aging when I come for work if it’s available

Get what you pay for, small
Too small for 2 people.We could not walk around at the same time, there was just enough room for one to maneuver between beds and furniture. We had to enter through garage overhead door and between items in garage. Just barely ok stay. But for price, you get what you pay for.

In town for family funeral
My 25 year old daughter lives in Charleston and her husband passed away in February 2023 after only one year of marriage. She was young and absolutely devastated. Shawn’s place was one of only two places with decent ratings in the general area that I needed to stay at the last minute for a week. He was gracious and accommodating, going out of his way to make the location available for me to check in 2 hours earlier than usual. I wasn’t sure about it all when I first arrived and realized that I had to open the automatic garage door, walk through, use one of the keys on the ring to open a door at the back that opened to a short hallway with a door on the left and a door at the end. The additional two keys on the ring were for those rooms. I was pleasantly surprised when I unlocked the door to the left and walked into a room with 2 twin beds, a writing desk, a wall mounted television, bedside table, refrigerator and microwave in a small closet, and other small amenities. The door at the end of the hallway was a private bathroom. This quaint setup was private from the main house and very affordable I highly recommend and would book with Shawn again. FIVE STARS!

Great night’s stay after Charleston day
The accommodations are pleasant, clean and comfortable. We felt safe and enjoyed our experience. My only suggestion is that a ceiling fan would be nice. I would definitely consider staying there again.

Great place to stay
Property is in a safe neighborhood and it's easy to come and go. Bedroom is small but worked great for our time in N. Charleston visiting family bc all we needed was a place to sleep. I would stay there again. Thanks Shawn for your southern hospitality.

Vacation for my children
My kids ages 23 and 26 came into town on vacation and this was perfect for them, it was very clean in a wonderful neighborhood and the host was very helpful and polite and made things very easy. He was readily available by phone with any questions. Thank you so much for making my kids feel very welcome.

Lovely Private room
A private room in a home in gorgeous neighborhood. Host was friendly, helpful. So much nicer than a hotel. Exceptionally clean. Mostly just room to sleep and have a private bathroom - separate from other living spaces Able to come and go easily.

Clean, Quiet, and Comfortable
"Southern Sophistication" meet our greatest criteria- clean, quiet, and comfortable beds. Communication with our host was superb. Our only concern is that we thought the website implied a kitchen and dining space, but there is no such space. The microwave and frig are in a closet, which worked wonderfully, but not what we expected. There is one chair at the desk area, so the only place to relax is on the beds. Since we came to Charleston to see the sites and experience the city, we weren't in the room much except to sleep anyway, So it worked well for us.

We loved the area where the rental was, especially with it being so very close to everywhere we needed to be! Our Host was very accommodating & kind, the room was very clean as well as the bathroom! I would definitely consider using this again 100%

It was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable. The room was very small though. The bathroom could use a shelf or surface to place toiletries , a larger instruction guide on how to use the shower. It should not state that there is a kitchen as it really was a small closet. No table for dining and only coffee cups, no paper towels or glassware. There was an ironing board but no iron. It would be good to get local programming and news, not streaming only. It was fine for 2 having a one night stay.

Such a cute little apartment
This was the nicest little place! It's a small apartment off the side of the owner's house with its own entrance. It accomodates two comforably. It is small but did not feel cramped. The decorating was lovely. The owner was friendly and responsive and informative. He greeted us when we arrived and answered all my questions promptly. It was exacty what we needed for a good rest in the middle of a long journey. I almost wished I was staying longer. If I ever return to Charleston I will definitely stay here again.

This property was in a nice quiet neighborhood. It was close to Westcoft golf course. The room was clean and contained what you needed. The only negative was every thing was so close, there was no space to breathe .. it was great for us because we only slept there and left during the day. But if it you had two people staying here and you needed to stay in for the day...it would have been close quarters. Almost like a small room on a cruise ship. The owner met us and was very pleasant. But it did seem a little different then when I have stayed other places.

Quiet get away
My friend and I came for a girls weekend to Charleston. The VRBO was very clean, cute, and cozy. We met the owner Shawn the morning after we arrived. He was very nice and provided us with some extra towels. This VRBO is located in a nice neighborhood and we felt safe at all times here. The beds were comfortable and the shower is amazing "water pressure and big shower head"!! After a long day of sight seeing it was nice to come back and rest. It is attached to his home with a door that separates the VRBO, but it was very private with it's own entrance. I would definitely stay here again.

Southern Delight
Delightful experience with Southern Sophistication. Immaculately clean with an eye for detail that you just do not get in a hotel. Decor is contemporary and sophisticated. All amenities cleverly provided for guests . We felt like we were guests in Shawn's home for rather than an impersonal, commercial feel of a hotel; yet we had the privacy of our own suite. Neighborhood was clean and safe yet close to stores and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again

Unique, convenient stay
We were going to a concert in the nearby concert, so to be able to stay one night for a reasonable price was convenient. The location was unique, a suite aback the garage. Nicely furnished, everything one would need for a good night's sleep. The host was communicative, but we would have been more comfortable if he has actually greeted us. There is a locked door separating the sweet from the main house; however, familiarity with the host would've created a bit of assurance. In closing, it was a convenient, unique stay for a reasonable price. Everything went well.

Great Stay
I had a great stay while in N. Charleston and minutes from the airport. I was literally less than 10 minutes from family. It was close to shopping and restaurants (Dunkin, Freddy's, Chick-Filet, Walmart, Wafflehouse, etc). The check-in process is pretty easy. Shawn was very polite, professional and a great host. He answered any questions I had in a timely manner. The location was in a very quiet neighborhood. The rental space was private and apart from the main house. It was very clean and neat. I would definitely stay again!

We had a great time at our stay in North Charleston! A little 15 or so minute drive to downtown Charleston - so, not bad. Close to grocery store and restaurants locally if you so desire. Guest suite is on the smaller side but clean & suited us fine and loved having the large tv screen & the mini fridge with freezer! We found the Summerville Farmers Market nearby and it was great! Downtown Summerville is very cute! Loved Cuppa Manna for a good cup of coffee in Summerville. Great stay for the price and location!
