« The property was well situated.It needed a thorough clean throughout. Certain furniture was in such a poor state that the owner decided to replace it. The bathroom was unclean. Water was slow to drain from the bath because the plug hole was blocked through dirt & debris ( photo available) . Several lightbulbs needed replacing but the owners did not come at the time agreed to replace them. « Nice place. We cooked meals inside on the stove but also over a fire at the fire pit. There is a small creek behind the cabin that runs when it rains out. That was pretty cool. No nearby light pollution so the sky is really dark at night and you can see a lot of stars. Overall a great experience. Two wineries close by. It's on the wine trail. Close to everything in Southern Illinois. We went to all the state parks. »

« The good: Communication with the host was excellent throughout the whole process! The beds and couches were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and pillows. « Quaint and cute home! Very clean and tidy! Clean bedding and towels were provided. Bed was very comfortable. « Peaceful, appealing, land with excellent basic restaurants in Benton, about 8 minutes driving time. The house accommodated 5 sisters in our 70s and 80s comfortably with plenty of room to visit and play dominoes and pet friendly. The side porch is excellent for sitting, chatting, and activities. A dollar general is 3 minutes away for basic supplies. The house is clean, though the bathroom floors and baseboard heaters around the house could at the least use a thorough cleaning.
