« When we arrived, we found mouse droppings on the bed, in the bathroom & dining room area. We had to wash the bedding and clean up. (So much for the cleaning fee, they charge!) Very disappointed in what our once favorite place to stay, has become. The past 2 times we've stayed, we've been dissatisfied with the cleanliness, which we brought to Gaustehaus Schmidt's attention. Decided to try again. Strike three, they're out. We'll have to search for another place, next time. »

« This little two bedroom home was attached to others, but still felt very private in the back of this area where there were several apartments. We stated number 202. Beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows, couches were very comfortable. All in all we four had a very nice overnight stay and wish we could’ve stayed two nights. « This was a really nice stay. The guesthouse was cozy, really clean, and in a very quiet neighborhood. I liked that we were minutes from Main St. and could get to places fast. I appreciated the communication from our host, as they sent really clear instructions on how to check in, what the rules were, and the check-out process. « My husband and I were looking for a place to escape the city. This was it! The house was on top of a hill, overlooking a pasture. The owner did an amazing job of setting up several types of feeders to attract different types of birds. I had my coffee on the porch in the morning, then we rested there again in the late afternoon.
