Nestled into rolling hills overseeing the Pedernales River Valley, the retreat is located just 2 miles south of US-290 and offers both the serenity of being in the countryside, while being conveniently close to Fredericksburg and some of the best wineries of the area. Pedernales Cellars Winery is literally next door in walking distance. Adega Vinho Winery and Albert Dance Hall & Ice House are just a few minutes away.
The serenity of being in a rural area, the rolling hills, the big open skies, the food & wine, and the German legacy is what makes the Hill Country so charming and attractive to visitors from all over Texas and beyond. And for good reason.
That is also why we tried to source as much as possible from local businesses. To make your stay a unique Texas Hill Country experience. For instance, the casitas feature artwork by mostly Texas artists.
With new construction, we had the ability to offer cabins that have modern amenities, thermal comfort, healthy materials, and good indoor air quality, while at the same time designing the cabins to fit into the local aesthetic. As much as possible, healthy and sustainable materials are being used.
The retreat features 6 individual highly comfortable cabins, or casitas as we like to call them, that offer maximum privacy and common amenities such as a fire pit for gatherings, and EV charging stations.
All casitas offer maximum privacy, and a luxurious experience with state-of-the-art amenities such as private parking, Smart TVs, WiFi, etc. (see individual casitas for details). All casitas offer are named after trees that grow on the property.
The Martinsburg is also a bird sanctuary. There are plenty of birds on the property. Enjoy listening to them or engage in bird watching.
