Llegamos y no podĂamos respirar del mal olor adentro de la habitaciĂłn, no tenĂa ventanas, olor a humo y humedad. Sucio la alfombra.
Nos fuimos a otro lugar a los 30 minutos de llegar.
We arrived and we couldn't breathe from the bad smell inside the room, it had no windows, the smell of smoke and humidity. Dirty carpet.
We went to another place within 30 minutes of arriving.
The room it was clean. Needed newer bed speads. They had holes in them.Had 2 diffent styles of bath towel. No shampoo in room. Wall needed old paint stripped and repainted. Stairs and sidewalk need to be pressure washed. A few permanent type guests staying so there things outside on sidewalk.
What I thought was odd was you conducted all transactions through a small sliding window. There were a lot of construction workers and people placed by FEMA. But, surprisingly, it was quiet and we didn't have any trouble. The parking lot was well lit. The website stated that there weren't any bedsheets on the beds, but there were, and they were clean. Overall, the stay was better than I expected.
This hotel was closed for any reservation made through a booking agent. I was given a $75 rate and used my cash key of $5 so I was expecting to pay $70. I was charged $129. I was shocked and it was too late for me to find something else in this area. I will be contacting Hotels.com about this. You should not advertise a property that is only used for Cema and construction workers. I felt very unsafe.price gouging nasty place!
The check in was an absolute abortion. It consisted of walking up to a small window (8 x 10 inches) and pushing a button to call a human. The man came to the window and I announced I have a reservation, and my name is Erwin Cohen. He asked my name at least 5 times and I spelled it also. He spoke very poor English and it took a lot of time to communicate. He was Indian and extremely difficult to understand particularly with aa lot of traffic noise just behind me. He finally gave me a bill and wanted $78 to pay for the room. I gave him a copy of the Expedia confirmation and he said they were no longer affiliated with Expedia Expedia still has them on the their website. He the backed off and said he will copy the reservation confirmation and gave me a room key.
We never were able to stay there, our reservation was cancelled by the hotel & Expedia charged us. We are protesting the Expedia charge with our credit card company. The hotel said they couldn't do anything about refunding us. no help from anyone!
Did not see any bugs. Room was clean, though it was dated. Had a king with 2 pillows. Pool area looked nice. I would stay again. It's not bad considering the price. About a 15 minute drive from The Sound amphitheater.
