I stayed at Hawksbill Resort from June 20th to June 26th during a personal transition between jobs, and this trip turned out to be exactly what I needed â a true reset for the soul. It was my first time in Antigua, and I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and restorative experience.
The resort itself is incredibly serene. I spent most of my days reading by the beach, surrounded by calm turquoise waters. As someone who's not the strongest swimmer, I was surprised by how safe and inviting the sea felt. I even had tiny fish swimming around me at times â it was magical.
The staff at Hawksbill were a major highlight. The masseuse delivered the most therapeutic massage Iâve ever had â firm and effective, yet her hands were unbelievably soft. I left the table feeling brand new. Che'Marie, the housekeeper, was warm, helpful, and so thoughtful throughout my stay.
One of the most unforgettable experiences was a sailboat trip with Gerald, who not only taught me the basics of sailing but also showed me a beach only reachable by sea. He even gave me a few swimming tips that boosted my confidence in the water.
I also ventured beyond the resort to explore Antigua â a catamaran tour, horseback riding along the beach, and a trip to Shirley Heights to watch the sunset with local music in the background. These moments really added depth to the trip.
If you're a solo traveler like me or a couple looking for peace, natural beauty, and kind-hearted people, I canât recommend
