« What a lovely place in a beautiful location, west side of the Lake District. All the home comforts you could need including reclining sofa and a washing machine! Clean, comfortable and warm with excellent wifi connection. Thank you to the friendly hosts Colin and Lesley who were to hand if anything was needed but who were not intrusive or interferring at all. « Thank you for making me feel so welcomed, all the tips, like the train to Edinburgh, and little suprise gifts at the cottage. The cottage is really beautiful. Even tough the weather wasn't always on my side, it really enjoyed my week here and hope to come back again. »

« The pictures didn’t do the property any justice. The bedrooms had vaulted ceilings and looked incredible. It was very well decorated and absolutely spotless. The property had everything we could have wanted and more - the owners very kindly left us a welcome pack with home made goodies. « The property is right on a very busy main road, the main bedroom is at the front so traffic noise is an issue. The curtains aren’t blackout curtains so street lights are an issue and one being faulty and strobing intermittently didn’t help. The exterior of the front could definitely do with some tlc as well. « Good cottage in a very quiet village on a working farm . We enjoyed the accommodation, nice lounge with a fireplace, good sized kitchen and bedrooms . We however had to drive elsewhere for activities as there is very little to do in Bootle . »

« We had a really nice stay. The place is setup nicely and much bigger than expected so plenty of space for whatever you bring with you. The beds are comfy and the showers really good. There is easy access to Bassenthwaite for water sports and access to the hills behind and around for walking and running. The only thing that might confuse some people is that despite the name "Bramble Cottage" it isn't a standalone cottage, it is a set of rooms with other accommodation above and to the side. You...
