Unit 6 - Crescent View - Crescent Beach, Saint Augustine

Sand Castle Apartments is an oceanfront property with seven units, located at Crescent Beach just south of St. Augustine Beach.
The apartment is an UPSTAIRS unit on the second floor and has ocean views.
The bathroom is complete with a hairdryer, conditioner, shampoo, and shower gel.
There is wifi throughout the property and smart tv mounted to the wall in the bedroom and living room with cable service.
There is a diner table for your meals and a refrigerator, microwave, regular coffee maker, toaster, kitchen utensils, pots, and pans.
Central air conditioning unit to keep you cool on hotter days and a heater for the chilly nights.
There is a common area patio just outside of the apartment with a magnificent view and a wooden seating area downstairs facing the ocean where you can enjoy your morning coffee and end the day with your favorite cocktail while hearing the sounds of the bay and feeling the calming bay breeze! We have fabulous sunrises and sunsets!

This apartment is just steps from the water; your family and pets will love exploring every part of Crescent Beach!
No smoking is allowed on the premises (including patios, balconies, and common areas).
There is a no-tolerance policy for excessive noise, occupancy, parties, or smoking.

The unit was extremely clean and very well equiped with essentials. The location is terrific, close to a very good little Pizza place named Tony's pizza....And of course, right on the beach! Interior of the condo has been fully updated & everything felt fresh and clean. We would definitely stay here again & highly recommend.

We stayed for a long weekend and really appreciated the quiet -dog friendly- beach for walking in the morning and evening. There were also beach views from the living room at the right angle. The location was clean and had pretty much everything we needed (We had to buy a coffee maker- but we left it for the next visitor). Parking was easy, but you do need a car because there are not sidewalks and there’s not much right there except a gas station and beach restaurant with limited fresh options. We were a bit surprised that the porch shown in the photos is shared with another unit, but the other visitors were respectful of taking turns using the space. Overall, a quiet and fairly affordable beach stay!

Property was right on the beach with beautiful views. After arriving we found out that there was major construction going on in an adjoinning apartment. There was alot of noise and workers present. We felt that we should have been told in advance about the construction and given the opportunity to reschedule or change the dates. After talking to the host we reached a comprise. The last 3 days we truly enjoyed our stay. Would stay again without the construction.

Very clean and well decorated. Being almost 70 the stairs were difficult-very steep and no railings. Enjoyed the outside patio and breezes. Needs to specify the actual apartment is not directly oceanfront

This 2 bedroom condo is right on the beach and a quick walk to either a restaurant or the Circle K. It's clean, modern and comfortable. I would stay here again and recommend to small families looking for affordable beachfront condos. The owner was quick to respond to me whenever I messaged her. Loved it!

This is a simple place on the beach with a shared balcony view of the water. The place is appropriate for 4 people. There truly is one bedroom and the other is part of the living space and kitchen. The futon sofa would be uncomfortable for an extended stay. We had an unpleasant neighbor to deal with but the management dealt with them efficiently. The management is very helpful. Would recommend a washer and dryer access - although there are laundromats that will clean and fold your laundry. Loved Crescent Beach.

This was a beautiful location. At first glance the building looks a little rough but the accommodations are lovely. We stayed in #6, newly renovated and spotless. The open floor plan allows for easy conversation whether fixing a meal or watching tv. The photos are a good reflection of the property layout, with one bedroom open to the living room. The views from the porch are amazing. This property is close to the beach ramp with lots of activity. We had fun watching people get towed off the beach day and night, when they got stuck in the sand. Many food options close by and nearby Butler Beach. Downtown St. Augustine is also a short drive away.

Being from St. Augustine originally, I knew exactly where this unit was located. I was drawn to it because Crescent Beach is my favorite beach in the area. The property has the complete feel of a beach cottage. It also allowed me to bring my two small dogs, which was a HUGE help. My next trip to see family, I will definitely be booking this unit! Thank you so much for the hospitality and communication. It was a pleasure meeting you both!

Overall, the place is exactly as listed. Only thing that needs to be listed is the balcony is a shared balcony with a neighbor who lives their full time.

The listing stated an ocean front 2 bedroom apartment, sleeping 6. To be fair, the "apartment" had obviously been renovated, was clean, and was literally 20 yards away from a public entrance to Crescent Beach. However: 1. The listing could have stated that the apartment building was actively being renovated, so as not to be surprised with the trucks, noises, and construction tools/debris. 2. The current appearance of the building and grounds is very unappealing. Our first impression was "this can't possibly be where we rented, can it?" 3. The "apartment" itself actually has one private bedroom with a second bed in the common/living area. There is a sleeper sofa, but it has a tight fitting slip cover over it and due to the very small size of the common/living area, its hard to imagine it being opened or the "apartment" actually being able to comfortably sleep 6. 4. The "apartment" would more correctly be described as a 1 bedroom, bare bones, minimally equipped efficiency unit. The photography of the rooms is deceptive, the rooms are not as large as shown. 5. There are no direct views of the ocean from any window. There's a wall of windows in the common area, but they look down on a small parking area, entrance to the beach, and back of a closed and boarded up restaurant. 6. The listing shows a beautiful balcony area with sofa, chairs, and a high top table. However, its not attached to the "apartment", its actually a common area on the second floor landing. Additionally, the furniture is very worn, rusted, and uninviting. Lastly, a section of the safety railing isn't even attached to support structure, its actually held in place by 4 cinderblocks, 2 bricks, and a countertop remnant. 7. Due to all of the above, we left early, not staying the number of days we had paid for. The only reason we rated it a 2 versus a 1 is how accessible and beautiful the beach was.

Loved that the property was just a few steps to the beach. The inside was neat and clean and looked newly painted.(Oops missed an area on the wall next to the kitchen sink). Towels and linens were fresh and clean and appliances were new and clean. Digital TV was appreciated with wifi available. I would suggest providing a couple of plates and bowls that are microwavable. Disliked that the entry to the apartment was not inviting. It looked as if no one had inspected the apartment prior to arrival. The doorway was blocked by the balcony furniture. We had to move tables and chairs to get in the doorway. The neighbors doorway was blocked with a sofa and he was understandably upset when he arrived home. The apartment smelled a little stale and the air conditioner filter definitely needs replacing. There is a need for remodeling and painting but the owner should have checked to make sure that things were back in place. Stairway rail was loose and needs supporting. Overall, our stay was enjoyable. We talked with the owner and we know that he has done a lot of work to the place and we believe that he has a jewel in the making.

We left early, and will fight for refund. Dropping a bed in a family room does not make a bedroom. The ocean view was not part of the unit, it was in a shared deck. A window showing a beach view was deceptive, the window showex on a wall of another building. Only the most deceptive angle made it seem like it was a beach view. The building snd narrow stairs had peeling paint and plaster. VRBO should have a typical amenities lacking, which here would be, no dishwasher, no washer/dryer. Found a 4x sized unit for less to move to.
