« this place was out in the middle of nowhere but was amazing. It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. « I traveled with my family (husband, two kids and the grand parents). Overall the property was very nice and clean. 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms so lots of space. Bathrooms are different. 4 rooms side by side, toilets in a separate room as the showers. There are pros and cons to this place. -First off it is a shared property. Very nice built basement (owner on the top part). That is not a problem, but it is not listed that way in the description and definitely should be. It appears as your renting...

« Three families with teens and tweens had a wonderful time this weekend. We were steps from the slopes and had everything for a comfortable and fun weekend. The three teen boys loved the bunk/gameroom. The hot tub was a great place to warm up after skiing. We will absolutely be back. »

« The view from the house was gorgeous! We were very comfortable in the house and enjoyed the snow that fell for two days straight/ it was a winter wonderland! »

« This was perfect for our multi generation ski weekend. My family was very happy and impressed with everything Alison’s property had to offer. The game room/tv lounge was a big hit. The best part was the location and ski in/out. Alison was also great at responding to any questions I had. Wonderful host! »

« The house was about 20-30 minutes from most of the hikes in New River Gorge. The house was clean and more than sufficient for the two of us. We had a great stay! »

« We had an awesome time!!! Place was clean and it was big enough for my whole family. Other than a bathroom issue which was resolved everything was great. Lots of dishes and pots and pans and the location of house was perfect!!! I couldn't ask for any better. Thank you again. We will come back for sure!!! »

« The song Country Road is the perfect backdrop while driving down the scenic route to Boulder Trail Getaway. The house is wayyyy back off the main road but the tranquility of the deep woods is incredible. The house is very comfortable and (5) women had plenty of room to move around. The hot tub and great fire pit kept everyone entertained. The kitchen was well supplied with pots/pans and small appliances that made making meals easy. Nice gas grill too! Great vacation home. »

« The property was very clean and well-maintained. Make sure you have everything you need as it is out in the country. It is quiet and not too close to people. The rental has almost everything you need to relax and enjoy your visit. It was everything we expected. »

« We stay in the area regularly to visit family and we would definitely stay in this house again. The location was convenient for our needs. There were plenty of things to do at the house to keep everyone happy, even in January! One thing to note since I didn’t notice when booking, there aren’t tv’s in the bedrooms. The projector and couch in the basement was the preferred hangout space for our teens. »

« The property is very new and clean. My favorite parts are the showers with rain, angled, and hand nozzles to choose from, the 8 person hot tub that kept us warm in 10F weather, and the upscale kitchen appliances. The ski room was perfect for our group of 10 to keep our gear warm, dry, and organized.The location was perfect for our group. « Good time, a couple of things need to be replaced or repaired did not stop the weekend but things need to be addressed. Not everyone will reach hand in back of toilet to flush for the price paid. »

« Beautiful place, cozy cabins, really enjoyed our trip. Maybe some new mattresses, it was a little uncomfortable. Ate at restaurant, supposed to be St. Patrick's Day party. Staff was completely overwhelmed. Well over an hour to get wings and a pizza. Garlic parm wings were really good! Pizza just ok. Party was not happening, so some customers who appeared to be regulars got karaoke started. Overall, we had a great time! Definitely interested in coming back forva friends trip. Probably will...
