« I came with two friends. We were here to bike the Colchester Causeway and do some kayaking. We also visited the Ethan Allen homestead and spent time in Burlington shopping and dining. The house was in the perfect location and was just lovely. It was a mix of quaint eclectic and lake decor. The beds were very comfortable, there was a nice kitchen and dining area and a cosy living room. We were steps away from the dock and kayak launch so there was always the sound of water lapping the beach....

« The property I think is as described and the location by the causeway is pretty fantastic, that is the big draw. Being able to walk/ride out to the causeway is excellent. Little things though marred the experience for me. Tiny coffee machine that is a little broken (top falls off, often into cup as you pour) - very cheap and can only make 2 cups. No coffee filters provided. Toaster is tiny, cheap and a bit hard to use. There is no established path so you are just trotting about 50 yards across...

« The place is private, peaceful, clean and well maintained. Dave, the owner, even warned us of an approaching storm and advised us on how to protect screen porch furniture upholstery from getting wet, so communication was excellent, too. »

« We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite bad weather all week. The property is as described. The view was lovely and we appreciated how quiet the neighborhood was. We cooked most of our meals. The kitchen was well-stocked in terms of dishes, cutlery, pots & pans. The only potential issue is that the stairs to the 2nd floor bedrooms are very steep, as others have noted, and our dog wasn’t able to climb them. Other than that, the place was very comfortable and it was great to get away. »

« Upon entering the cottage, there’s a blanket in the living room that says “let’s stay here forever” and we seriously considered it! This place is well appointed, open floor plan, tastefully decorated, and was absolutely spotless when we arrived! Mike and Andrea are very attentive hosts, and have thought of everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The view of the lake was gorgeous. We had such an enjoyable and relaxing stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!! »

« Pros: Few neighbors which meant it was quiet. One even apologized for running the lawn mower which was quieter than the waves on the shore; The kayaks, rowboat, and bikes ready for our use; the full kitchen, tub, and open floor plan which made life with five people easy; Even though we were there during a hot spell the house cooled down enough at night we could sleep; lots of plugs for electronics; and amazing sunsets!
