I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a stay in beautiful South Haven. It has a convenient location, just a 5 minute drive to beautiful Lake Michigan beaches and very close to shopping and downtown. There is a farm stand with local fresh groceries within walking distance, and a large grocery store nearby. The street it is on is pretty busy, but once in the house, it is very peaceful. The house is gorgeous and well maintained. The kitchen is well appointed, obviously stocked by someone who loves to cook. We found the beds very comfortable and the pool absolutely lovely. We were particulary impressed by the amazing host. At the beginning of our stay, we noticed the refrigerator didn’t seem to be cooling properly, so bought some dry ice to keep food we had just purchased cool. After informing the host, we were immediately reimbursed for the dry ice, and a new refrigerator was delivered and installed within a day. We also informed the host that one of the inflatable mattresses we were using seemed to have a slow leak, so a new one was hand-delivered the next day. We are grateful for such care and attention.

Beautiful place! Convenient location!

We had a great time on our family vacation in this lovely home. The pool is beautiful. You can walk to the beach in a few minutes or park close by if walking isn't your thing. Plenty of food and shopping options in the area.

Great Stay

We had a great time. The house was perfect and the one problem we had Fatima immediately responded and fixed it. The only suprise was there is only one shower in the house. The listing mentioned it but i must have missed it. There is another shower in the pool house that the little kids ended up using. One bathroom inside did have a huge shower and the other full bath only had a tub. But it was all great. The pool was the main attraction and totally worth it. We had the best time.

Family Vacay

This is our 2nd year in a row staying here. We love the property. The space is perfect for the 8 of us. My older children love having the pool plus the beach. Fatima is a great host very accommodating and great with communication. We definitely be back!! Love South Haven!

Great Family Vacation

This was a great place for our family of 5. The house was clean and comfortable, perfect size for our family. The pool was great and the backyard space was excellent. The location is close to the interstate but also easily accessible to downtown South Haven. Fatima is very responsive and made many great suggestions and recommendations. We had a great week!

Fabulous family vacation

This house was perfect for our family. I’m use to staying on the beach but having a pool and the beach was perfect. Having older kids they loved staying at the pool and hanging out plus at night we could swim. The pool was perfect temperature. The house had everything we wanted. It was only a half a mile to town so we rode bikes a lot. Loved all the shops and restaurants. We rode ATVs one day a must only 5 miles away. We will definitely come back. Also Fatima was very helpful and attentive whenever needed. Love South Haven❤️

Great Stay!

Fatima was great through the whole process. We had actually booked another of her properties which sold, so she upgraded us to this property - which was fantastic. It had all the things we needed from the kitchen down to the beach chairs/towels! The house and pool were clean and lovely! House is close to the highway and to downtown South Haven. Couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Excellent Family Friendly

The pictures don’t do it justice. This house is a great layout, nice upgrades, and a fabulous location. The host was very attentive and responsive. To address some of the reviews- yes, you will hear traffic noise but it didn’t bother but a couple while trying to sleep. Bring a sound machine. We used the pool house shower several times after the beach and pool or even for first floor elderly guests in the mornings. There is one shower in the house but we had plenty of hot water and made use of the outdoor shower. Walking distance to town. The house was well stocked!

Labor Day Weekend Stay

This home was gorgeous and was perfect for what we needed and wanted. We were surprised that it was on such a busy road. We also had some confusion at first about the garage code - the original code sent was 2525, and the code sent with our “keys” right before our trip was 1001. We figured it out though and we were thankful we had all of the emails. The VRBO app and website was glitchy at times. Many times we were not able to access it. This happened before and during our trip. Again, we were thankful for saved emails and for the checkout instructions coming through just in time (although I was notified they were there earlier, I couldn’t access them). Fatima was excellent with her communication and she was very prompt and helpful at responding to questions. The pool was chilly, but SO fun. We were sad the big garden jet tub was broken down. We loved the town of South Haven though and we loved being so close to the beach. It was a great weekend! Thank you!

Well kept house that served our family well

Pros: The house was as-advertised which is always nice. Size was fine for our 6 adults and 5 kids. The location is a bit unique...right off the highway and away from the town but convenient. 2 minute walk to Walgreens & Taco Bell. 2 minute drive to the grocery store. 5 minute bike ride to the Kal-Haven Trail start. The pool is very big and there were some floats in the garage that we used. The house was well stocked with the essentials. AC worked well, BBQ was clean. Internet worked great. Overall it is a nice, cozy house that is great if you are ok not being walking distance (while carrying stuff) to the beach. We enjoyed our stay. Fatima responded quickly before and during our stay. Owner provided an amazon fire stick that we couldn't seem to get working but we brought our own roku stick and apple tv so no issues there. Plenty of linens, towels and pool towels were provided which was nice. Cons (minor in the grand scheme) Can definitely hear road noise while sleeping but that's to be expected given the location. Doors and floors are creaky which made it difficult for the kids to stay asleep but not a huge deal. The driveway is sandy and filled with gravel...would've been nice if it was paved (or at least much more gravel) as we ended up getting the inside of our cars dirty each time. We needed to use the net to remove bugs every morning (not a big deal) from the pool but a pool heater would go a long way. The only one shower in the house (there is a shower in the seperate pool shed which helped... it also had a toilet but no sink if I recall correctly?!?) was an issue but we knew this ahead of time. I'm not sure why the owner doesn't convert the master bath soaker tub into a tub/shower using a circular curtain rod...it would make the house so much more convenient for groups of size. Overall a well kept house that served our family well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house...so long as you are aware of the smaller "cons".

Beautiful Property and Great Location!

This house is very clean, spacious and has everything you need to enjoy yourself! Plenty of storage in the kitchen, bedrooms and upstairs bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking great meals. The backyard is an oasis with lush greenery and a crystal clear blue water pool! We walked several times into town and onto the pier as the house location is literally on the same street. Fatima is a great communicator. She always responded to my questions right away. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing vacation.

Great time!

Our only vacation of the year was a success thanks to Fatima and this house that had everything we needed. From the day we booked until the day we left communication was excellent. From our temporary home base we were able to get our morning coffee, visit the farmers stand, grocery store, ice cream stand, parks, restaurants, and beaches. Plus there were ample geocaches in the area to keep us busy! When we weren't exploring the area we were enjoying the crystal clear pool, outdoor deck, and the firepit. Thanks for helping us make lasting memories!

Great home for a family.

Our experience communicating with the owner was excellent. She was very thoughtful and helpful and responded immediately when we had questions. The advantage of this home is the private pool. The home is a little over a mile from downtown and about 2 miles from North Beach. South Haven is absolutely charming...we will definitely return.

Perfect week in South Haven

This house was perfect. It was exactly as described and actually much better. Comfortably slept 12 of us including 8 kids. If more adults, won’t sleep 12. House was spotless upon entry. Much higher home than expected. Home had everything we needed to cook and eat every meal at the home. Great appliances as well. Owner was so responsive before and during the trip. She replies within an hour and provides very helpful guidance. Pool was better than expected and very clean (and warm). Fire pit is a nice extra touch for s’mores. Location was great. Close enough for walks to downtown and also right near a country store and gas station/Walgreens for anything you need during the stay. Road is a bit loud but not an issue when our back nor at night while sleeping. People on this make it seem like a big deteaction. It isn’t. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!!

Perfect pool getaway

Fatima was a wonderful host! The pool was just what we needed, and the beach was a short drive or bike ride away. Note - there is just one shower inside the house...one full bath is outside by the pool, and the master only has a tub (with a shower wand but nowhere to hang it). Lots of street noise, and room darkening shades would have been nice. But the house was perfect for our group and well appointed.

Beautiful Home, location was questionable

There were a lot of pros with just a few cons of this property. It is a recent flip that they need to finish with details on such as no bars in the closets and no dressers in some of the rooms, limited trash cans in the rooms and driveway needs attention. Each door could use WD-40 because they are very creaky and loud, sound carries due to the age of the house. Would be nice to have working side table lamps in each bedroom as well. Host was very responsive to issues. Location is on the main street so it is VERY loud. You have to use the AC even in 75 degree temps because you don’t want to open the windows. It is across the street from a very busy gas station. The pool was lovely to have and they cleaned it often while we were there which was nice. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens provided with toiletries. Would be nice to have laundry baskets in the rooms for transport to the basement even just for the last day when you strip the beds & take towels to laundry. We also had to pay $30 each day we went to the beach because it is not walkable (not a con on the house, just FYI). Kids Corner playground is great to take your youngsters to with a beautiful view and the sunset cruise on Friends Good Will was AWESOME!!!

Our First Michigan Experience!

We absolutely love Michigan and staying at your property made our vacation more enjoyable! The pool was great after a day at the beach or sightseeing and we took our annual family portrait by the pool. We used the fire pit several times making smores. The house was spacious and newly renovated with a beautiful table and chairs to accommodate our family. It was the Blueberry Festival and we enjoyed the festivities around town.
