Peace in the Country

Come enjoy the tranquility and beauty of our quaint farm house located in a beautiful farming community surrounded by rolling hills, cattle pastures and hay fields. We are located within close proximity of Hwy 461. Semi-private access to Buck Creek is just 1/2 mile away with a shelter for picnics, a rustic fire pit to enjoy those cool evenings, and the perfect place to launch your kayak for some fishing. Lake Cumberland is only 25 minutes away for the more serious fishermen and boaters. Only 15 minutes to the north is Renfro Valley with the famous Renfro Valley Barn Dance, the Country Music Hall of Fame as well as Lake Linville with excellent fishing. There is a variety of restaurants in either direction. The launch site for Buck Creek Outfitters LLC (Kayak and Canoe rentals and Transportation) is only 1/2 mile away. They offer two hour or 4 hours trips. Seasonal of course.
Somernites Cruise is every 4th Saturday from April through October.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook a complete meal including a griddle for those morning pancakes, a toaster, coffee pot and a microwave. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a large closet. The second bedroom has a double bed and a wardrobe for storage. The third bedroom has twin bunk beds and a closet for storage. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. The living room has plenty of seating for family time together along with board games to play and a tv with a large assortment of DVD's. There is no cable or Wifi but there is excellent cellphone reception.
