« Stayed here with a friend in preparation for Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge. Check in very easy. Warm welcome. Very hospitable staff. We had to leave the hotel early next morning before kitchen opened but staff left us breakfast (cereals, yogurt etc) out for us which was really appreciated. Also made us sandwiches to take with us. Pub/bar and food was really good. Cosy. »

Lovely decor (room and restaurant/bar), spotlessly clean. Delicious food and friendly efficient service. Lovely breakfast with plenty to choose from. »

« Have been wanting to stay here for years and it was well worth the wait. We were welcomed by Christina who made us feel at home and showed us to our room (Ward's Stone) which was immaculate, spacious and has a large bathroom with rainfall shower. The pub was busy (it's obviously popular with locals, a good sign) but there's lots of places to sit so that wasn't a problem. We had a few drinks and had supper that evening. « Had a wonderful stay at the Penny Bun. It has a homely feel with very friendly staff. The view of the surrounding countryside was impressive especially during breakfast with the restaurant large windows. »
