Lovely spot if you like wide open spaces and gardens and flowers. Very quiet but they have a bar that plays live music. Overall really excellent with one minor exception, the restaurant in terms of looks, and food options is not quite up the the high level of the rest of the propery

Stayed for a wedding- the location was wonderful but we waited 2 hours to complete our meal being served due to low staffing and that really wasn’t great.

The concept that a beautiful garden attraction adjacent to a rustic resort equals luxury and exorbitant price points is, at first, a no/brainer. But the prime reason anyone books a hotel, motel or resort is to sleep. The pool and spa amenities aside, one wants to have a restful night to adventure during the day. The rooms at the OGR are of average size and pleasantly appointed. There are about 16 6-plexes, which is nice, as they are all on one level and they all have back doors to a small patio. The beds and linens are where the rooms fall far short of expectations. Lots of smallish pillows, all filled with fluffy poly fiber. Not firm enough to support the head while watcyTV, and way too fluffy to sleep comfortably. The fill moves around as well, so anyone who wants or needs to sleep at less than a 45-degree angle will dream of better options. The beds are all very firm, and it may be just the mattress cover ( if there is one), but every tiny move results in a squeak. The duvet cover is averagely thin, with only a sheet to supplant. Room temperature regulation is hit or miss; the in-wall units are noisy ( and how often are they cleaned?) and are ineffective at moving cool air. Morning comp breakfast is much better than expected , hot food is hot and bread options are complete. Food can’t overcome a poor nights sleep, though. At the prices charged, the beds and linens are the first priority, and the OGR fails at that.

Clean, spacious room with a comfy bed and super warm fireplace! There was a cute private patio that we were unfortunately unable to use because of a thunderstorm, but it was nice to see. Lots of parking and a lovely area to walk around. Super close to town, too.

Easy and fast check in experience. Very nice and quiet rooms. Fireplace was awesome and worked great. The whole area was set in an area that gave the feel that you were miles from anywhere. Free breakfast was very good and plenty to choose from. The restaurant was very good and very convenient.

All room are in cottage on the ground floor so there are no stairs and no noisy stomping neighbors overhead. The grounds are beautiful, and the area feels safe. The breakfast is so much superior to average hotel breakfasts and the restaurant has lovely views. We like the ability to charge our electric vehicle over night and loved using the hot tub to relax in after a busy day.

I like that its clean, and safe. I didnt like the restaurant menu. Its kind of boring nothing that grabs you and says i want to eat that again. But i love my stay.
